You may not have the option to escort humans to safety, but you may provide them safe haven from monsters.
Defender II is a tower-defending game where you assign different bows to launch arrows at numerous foes who try to invade your territory. You can also summon a pool of lava around your base to help eliminate the invaders and put up towers of magic to help as well. Walls can increase the HP, with better agility improving how frequently arrows are fired, and the potential to drive off monsters or double how much they can get damaged until their threat to your lands gets neutralized. There are a variety of spells to use against the monsters such as lighting, ice, and fire. The beasts fought include masked and cloaked fiends and small dragon-like enemies. The monsters also can arm themselves with catapults in an attempt to hinder your efforts. There player must also keep on the look out for boss monsters who will be a lot tougher to beat than the other monsters. There's also a battle mode where you can fight against another player until you manage to outlast them. While the game does involve defending someting (your territory in this case), it ultimately has nothing to do with the arcade game Defender or its sequel.
