The bird mod. is a Game Mod for Friday Night Funkin', made by Migueon22, underneath the psuedonym Redfan2009, focusing on the famous Angry Birds franchise. In this mod, Red encounters a mysterious, circular foe known only as Bird_2009, who seems to have some sort of grudge against him. Things get weird real fast.

• Adaptational Villainy: The original Red, anger issues aside, was a heroic bird trying to get his eggs back from the pigs. Now that he's become Bird_2009, he's much more bitter and angrier, hellbent on killing the current Red for replacing him.
• Arc Number: 2009. The anonymous pseudonym Mig used is Redfan2009, and the main opponent is Bird_2009. The original Angry Birds game itself was released in December 11th, 2009.
• Anthropomorphic Personification: According to the description, Bird_2009 is an incomplete personification of the past, tainted by the actions of the present, which might explain his hostility towards the current Red.
• Ambiguous Situation: The Game Over screen shows the rest of the flock in major states of disrepair. Whether these are Bird_2009's victims, cronies, or both hasn't been revealed yet.
• Big Bad: Bird_2009, a twisted Red who is actually Red from the original games, now vengeful and filled with rage against his movie self.
• Foreshadowing: The menu theme is from the old Angry Birds, but parts of it sound noticeably distorted if you listen closely. This is a sign that something is deeply wrong here.
• Greater-Scope Villain: Arguably, Rovio itself, as in the company that created Angry Birds. Considering how they removed nearly all of the original Angry Birds content with no way to download them again and replaced the characters with their movie counterparts, it's no wonder Bird_2009 hates the current Red so much.
• Meaningful Name: The only song in this mod is called "Crimson Awakening"; Bird_2009 has a darker shade of red than... Red.
• Mood Whiplash: The menu screen isn't the most frightening thing; it's a recreation of the old Angry Birds menu, complete with its usual stage select. And then you jump into the songs...
• Mythology Gag:
  • During the lyrical section of the song, Bird_2009's past selves are shown in a mirror to be Red from the original game, his superpowered self from Angry Birds Space, Red Skywalker from Angry Birds Star Wars, and his starting Knight class from Angry Birds Epic.
  • One of the lyrics of "Crimson Awakening" says "In the shadows of millions, the titan remains". The 'titan' Bird_2009 could be referring to might be one of two things; Angry Birds Reloaded, the Apple-exclusive reboot of the original game, or Angry Birds Friends, one of the only few classic-era Angry Birds games that wasn't delisted.
• Rule of Symbolism: Letting go of the past. Bird_2009 represents the old days of Angry Birds, a caricature of the old Red having grown furious overtime, being forgotten and replaced fueling his rage towards the modern Red. In other words, Bird_2009 cannot let go of the past, resorting to attempting to destroy the present days of Angry Birds in the current Red.
• Shout-Out: Bird_2009s design takes a couple cues from vibingleaf's Angry Birds Parasite video. Although its stated in the mod description that Bird_2009 is not the Parasite itself.
• Suddenly Speaking: Near the end of the song, Bird_2009 starts to quietly talk after his duet with Red, before transitioning to full-blown lyrics.
• Vagueness Is Coming: Whatever the "Crimson Awakening" Bird_2009 refers to during its titular song is, it doesn't sound pretty.
