- Executive Meddling: The reason the Super Sentai sets stopped coming out is because Hasbro bought Power Rangers from Saban in 2018 and has not allowed Shout to license more seasons passed what they'd already licensed under Saban, as Saban was acting as a middleman between Shout and Toei due to them owning the distribution rights to Sentai outside of Asia. Luckily, the Kamen Rider and Metal Heroes franchises are safe from this, as shown by Shout, Discotek Media, and Media Blasters licensing shows and/or movies from these franchises (Discotek being the only licensor of Metal Heroes, though), even though Hasbro owns the Big Bad Beetleborgs and VR Troopers series that adapted Metal Heroes and don't seem to own the rights to Masked Rider due to Ishinomori Productions hating it.
- The Shelf of Movie Languishment: In early 2019, they had Bruno from MMPRToys tease their DVD set of Chikyuu Sentai Fiveman in a video where he showed a blurred version of the DVD cover. However, due to Hasbro buying Power Rangers in 2018 and also buying Entertainment One in 2019, they forced Shout to halt all future Super Sentai DVD releases until further notice. In 2022, though, they would be granted permission to release not only Fiveman, but also Bakuryuu Sentai Abaranger and Tokusou Sentai Dekaranger in late 2022 and early 2023. The production codes on Fiveman and Abaranger also indicate that they'd been working on them for a while, as Fiveman's is 20108 (indicating a 2019 release or registering in their system since Shout has the first 2 numbers be the year after the sets are released) and Abaranger's is 19904 (indicating it was registered in their system in 2018).
