- Raymond Burr, gay actor best known as the lead in the TV series Perry Mason and Ironside (1967). While his sexuality was not made public until his death in 1993, it was an open secret in Hollywood, and he spent the last 30-plus years of his life in a domestic partnership with producer Robert Benevides. In fact, after his death, many details about his personal life came into question, as many of them (including two marriages and even a son who died in childhood from leukemia) appeared to be unverifiable, leading to assumptions that they were entirely made up to hide his sexuality.

- Merritt Butrick: American actor who was most famous for starring as David Marcus in Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan and Star Trek III: The Search for Spock. Sources vary as to whether he was gay or bisexual, with his Star Trek II co-star Kirstie Alley suggesting that he was bi.

- Nell Carter, bisexual Tony Award-winning singer and actress, best known for starring in TV show "Gimme a Break!". After her death in 2003, it was discovered she was in a relationship with a woman.
