TVS Visual Arts Program

The Trinity Valley School Visual Arts program is designed to foster the growth and success of each individual student. In fine arts classes, students are taught diverse, complex technical skills which in turn provide them tools to engage in constructive problem solving in all facets of their lives. The creative team at TVS employs both traditional and non-traditional methods to expand and enrich each student’s intellectual and academic capabilities.

TVS Learning Experience

TVS students gain experience in technical skills while working daily in the art studio. This is followed up with intellectual analysis and critical feedback with their teachers, peers, and art professionals. Such feedback is vital as the students decipher their work and how it relates to the world in which they live. It also aids their acquisition of new vocabulary and ability to articulate within each creative discipline.

Trinity Valley School Announces “Being” Exhibition Showcasing Senior Portfolios, Advanced Ceramics, and Art III Student Work

The exhibition runs through May 16, with reception on May 8 in the TVS Gallery.

Trinity Valley School is pleased to announce the opening of “Being,” a temporary art exhibition featuring original artwork by Senior Portfolio, Advanced Ceramics, and Art III students. The exhibition will be on view through May 16, 2026, in the TVS Gallery, located on the upper level of the Library. A public reception will be held on May 8, 2026, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.

“Being” brings together a diverse collection of student artwork that explores both the complexity of the natural world and the human form. Through a wide range of media and approaches, the exhibition reflects thoughtful artistic inquiry, technical growth, and the distinct creative voices of TVS student artists.

Three featured Senior Portfolio artists are Emily Buhman, Claire Kauffman, and Fiona She, each of whom developed an independently chosen portfolio theme. Together, their work contributes to the exhibition’s overarching concept of “being,” connecting individual perspectives through shared ideas of identity, observation, and experience.

The exhibition also features work by two Senior Portfolio Artists, Advanced Ceramics students Lucy Johnston and Emma Khan, whose pieces add depth and dimension to the show through their exploration of form and material.

In addition, selected Art III students present artwork centered on media exploration, including ink, collage, graphite, and pastels. Featured Art III students are Alayna Bhaloo, MJ Brannon, Riley Corbett, Kyleigh Corbin, Aaron Elder, Avery Ewing, Miya Fisher, Arthur Green, Julia Kanthack, Parker McClure, Eva Mederos, Ellie Randolph, and Thomas Young.

This exhibition serves as a celebration of student creativity and a culmination of the artists’ dedication throughout the school year. “Being” invites viewers to engage with a compelling range of artworks while recognizing the imagination, discipline, and growth of Trinity Valley student artists.

Community members are invited to visit the TVS Gallery to experience the exhibition and attend the reception on May 8.
