I just put on some freshly washed jeans this morning and they fit great! I feel very relieved to think that my old clothes will fit the way I want them to again! I just bought new work pants, but I'm thinking of taking them back since I haven't worn them and I am losing weight. Still struggling with wanting all the weight gone ASAP but I'm working on being patient instead. I didn't gain all this weight in a month, so I won't lose it that fast either.
I was going to do the step diet but I did 1000 1000 1900 instead, which I think is kind of the same. Low calories followed by higher calories so my body doesn't go into starvation mode.
I lost 60-75 lbs and kept it off for 7 years. Right now it's closer to 60 than 75. I've been physically sick for ten months (hospitalized twice for varying medical conditions) and all that sitting around led to a 10-15 lb weight gain. Plus, I moved in with my boyfriend who doesn't think twice about eating apple cobbler with Ice Cream every night after dinner. Although my lowest wt was 143-145, I'm not sure it's a realistic goal weight because my ability to do physical exercise is limited.
My plan: Biking. I just got an electric bicycle which should arrive in the mail next week. I hope to bike to work 3-4 days a week plus longer rides on the weekends. It will be tricky now that the weather is cold and I might have to bike in the dark. Plus I live miles from work. But like I said it has a battery on it so anytime I get tired I can just scoot on home at 20mph. I hope to do at least half the pedaling.
As for my diet I'm trying to keep it 'intuitive'. I can eat what I want, because it turns out I really like healthy things. If I'm not losing weight just by adding exercise, I'll reevaluate the situation at that time. I do get addicted to processed carbs so I'm trying to cut back on those. I may even drop them all together after my bike arrives.

weigh ins 1. The day I get my bike (I'm just not going to weigh myself until then) 2. Once a week thereafter. I haven't decided which day yet.
