When he is awoken, the world has changed. A hand caresses his downturned face. "Rise, my child," she says, and so he does. It is Sam, but not quite, as if he had taken just one wrong turn on the pan-dimensional highway.
Teal'c's face is placid and shows no recognition of him. He kneels at Sam's feet, graceful like a jaguar. "Come worship your god," he says.
"Sam?" he asked, confusion playing across his face.
"Your God," she replies, but her eyes do not flash and her voice is the same as ever. "Don't worry, Daniel, we can still be friends."
All he can think is that Oma has left him in the wrong place and that perhaps this is his punishment.
