AU where Kamukura wakes up and Hajime doesn't, and instead of telling the truth, he uses his many acting skills to pretend to be Hajime with the ultimate goal of sneaking off the island. He cuts his hair, wears lighter, brighter clothes, watches recordings of the simulation to perfectly imitate Hajime's mannerisms. It cracks away at his apathy bit by bit, as he does more and more things that just aren't him that he thought never mattered before. He nearly destroys the bathroom past recognition when he cuts his hair and is confronted with the fact that not only does he like his long hair and it's gone now, but that he likes something at all.

Meanwhile, he hears from the other Remnants how glad they were that 'Hajime' woke up and not Kamukura, how scared they were of him and Enoshima, how this is the Good Ending; 'Hajime' alive, and Kamukura erased. And he just can't comprehend it.

Basically Kamukura learning who he is and what it means to exist as himself in Hajime's shadow. Entirely of his own doing. And when he realizes he doesn't Want to be Hajime anymore, he's already stuck in the lie.

Comedic route is Komaeda figuring it out but not telling anyone. Instead, he does every single thing he knows annoys the hell out of Kamukura. Constantly making useless, obvious observations, saying someone else did a task better than him, asking someone else for help when Kamukura is RIGHT THERE, saying he likes the short hair better, making constant eye contact and never leaving Kamukura alone... it's torture for Kamukura.

Thinking about time loop Stormbringer where Chuuya tries to defeat Verlaine before he can kill the Flags for hundreds upon hundreds of loops, memorizing his moves and getting more and more skilled, only to lose each and every time because no matter how much he knows, how much he improves, he is simply not strong enough. He lives through the events of Stormbringer time after time, watching the Flags and Murase and N die, being tortured, and activating Corruption.

It's only just under the 3,000th loop mark when he realizes he's supposed to save someone else.

Hananene timeloop where yashiro is stuck in a loop that resets seemingly randomly. It takes multiple loops to realize why; there's a kid she's never really noticed before, and he's the only one getting progressively worse off as the days pass by. Then he leaves school one day, and the loop starts all over again. Never at the same time, never on the same day. He is the only thing that changes. She becomes determined to save this boy who she's never even talked to and drag him away from whatever reset button he's found no matter how much strength it takes.

Amane has no clue there's a timeloop. He knows there's a pretty girl who works in the garden when he's hiding in Tsuchigomori's room, in perfect view of the windows, and he knows he wants to die. He's alright with taking his little crush to the grave. He doesn't ever consider there might be another option.

Or, in short, Amane's determination to carry out his plans has warped the timeline enough that it has to be righted by the only person with the heart to do so, rewinding like a glitched video until she does.

One day I'd like to write a mcu x bnha fic like Winter Soldier where Hawks/Avengers uncovers Hydra within the HPSC. And when they're looking through everything they're like well obviously the human trafficking and child soldier training was Hydra and Hawks is like ummm well no that's the normal part. The bad stuff is somewhere else. Completely expecting that to be reassuring and he's completely surprised when it's Not

Dabihawks where Hawks never got found by the Commission, but still wants to be a hero despite his father being in and out of jail and his mother getting worse every day, so he trains by himself and tries to raise the money to get into a good hero school, always busy and out of the house, as far away as he can get, somewhere with a lot of trees where no one will report his quirk usage. So it's really just a matter of time before he runs into Touya, stumbling his way back from visiting his own shrine. And Keigo really doesn't want to cause his family more trouble, doesn't think HE can handle any more stress.

But he wants to be a hero. And there's someone right in front of him who looks like they need saving. So against quite literally all his better judgement, Keigo holds out a hand to Touya and offers him at least a roof over his head and an occasional meal.

Dabi's just shocked Keigo doubled back to help him. He's the first person to actually reach out to him like he was someone worth saving.

I'd love to one day be a popular fic author who posts about their works a lot, but unfortunately my mindset is that everything important is already in the writing so you'll just have to wait and see/find the answer to your questions in the text... and if it's not there then I did a bad job 😭😭

He wasn’t totally out of the loop, but between around thirty actual interactions online elapsed, and a once-a-week check-in to make sure his numbers were doing good, Hawks was never the first to know what was happening. He figured that if it was important, it would either be on the morning news he put on while getting ready or one of his handlers would mention it in a meeting. Nobody broke world-ending information on Twitter.

Hawks could see the appeal, though. If he were stuck on the ground like the rest of the world, he’d probably get sucked in, too.

There was just something a lot more appealing than seeing Best Jeanist’s fifth ad of the day.

Hawks caught the wind in his wings, buffeting him up, higher than any of the civilians below him had ever gone without a plane, and he couldn't think of anything better, not even the constant buzzing in his pocket.

When the Commission's records are leaked across the internet, Pro Hero: Hawks is both the biggest collateral and the last to find out. He's left to deal with the fallout.
