OKAY JOKES ASIDE, I actually grew to like it a lot as time went on. I LOVED seeing Lloyd yearning for Akita, I'm still so in love with the way he acted because he's SOOO down bad. Akita also seems just as happy to see him. She remembers how scent and came running straight to him and jumped him and she was planning on going to Ninjago to see him 🥺❤️🩹
I'm kinda glad Akita just didn't sit around waiting on Lloyd, the poor woman is growing gray hairs by now, and probably was starting to lose hope of ever seeing Lloyd, I'm kinda curious what they have planned for her, because wdym Akita is getting MARRIED.
It brings more Angst to Lloykita which I enjoy, Lloyd deserves to be a lil devious, being a homewrecker just like his father 🫶 /j
I genuinely can't bring myself to hate Beniro, I love myself some fox character and he seems to care so much about Akita as well. I LOVED HIS INTERECTIONS WITH LLOYD. It had me dying of laughter 😭 they're both so jealous oh my god. But also mark my words that the rock falling thing was definitely his doing man. CMON HES A FOX, it'd be so interesting if he was a villain trying to be "the only one for Akita >:)"

because she obviously didn't mean to change back to human form overnight, she had slept as a wolf just fine with Lloyd in nights prior, there's no reason she would want to spring that change on him so indirectly. She did that subconsciously, because for the first time in decades her body felt genuinely safe enough to let her guard down
because of him.
Because of how he cared for her, because of how he respected her, because of how he humanized her, she finally allowed herself to begin healing. To actually rest.
And now that chance is crumbling to pieces right in front of her. The moment she has an authentic response of vulnerability, it's immediately met with hostility. This is a trust damaging experience just as much for Akita as it is for Lloyd. They are going through the exact. same. thing.

It's a reference to an indie game! Called "Pom Gets Wifi" the story goes that a dog who's obssesed with the internet goes to heaven and tries to find a wifi signal so she can go on the internet again. "Yaoihands" was the tumblr handle the dog had, I just added the "wifi" because of the name of the game! (i also didn't know what yaoi was at the time, but it was the first thing I thought about LOL and I thought it was a nice reference)

My thoughts on this is that after discovering he is the green ninja Lloyd doesn't want nothing to do with it. He sticks around for a bit until the Great Devourer attacks Ninjago in the season 1 finale.
Lloyd ends up being eaten, and he blames himself for everything, and thinks he's not fit to be the green ninja. So once the Great Devourer gets defeated by Garmadon, Lloyd runs away from taking responsibility for the incident and being a green ninja. And he's too embarrassed to look at his dad and the ninja faces.
He's "The One who Got Away" because of that.
While the ninja were searching for Lloyd they found Harumi instead, who now sees the ninja as enemies who killed her parents, and the green ninja just ran. The ninja decides to take her in since she has nowhere else to go.
At first Harumi plan was to destroy the ninja from inside out. And secretly messing up the Ninja plans so they would lose to Garmadon in season 2. But she slowly starts to feel like the ninja are her family.
Harumi doesn't have powers but she's good with words. So in S2 she manages to use the power of words to defeat the Overlord. Convincing Garmadon to give her the golden weapon, and then defeating the Overlord by using the right words to wish for something idk.
I just like the idea of Harumi talent of manipulation and words to be used for good. Anyway she becomes the Jade ninja.
So Lloyd gets found by the royal family, and tbh he's seen more as a prize to them. Having direct ties with the FSM and being the Green Ninja. So they keep him out of sight, his face covered in order to not reveal his identity.
Lloyd had plans to come back to his dad but after season 2, he doesn't think Sensei Garmadon, with all his goodness and self righteousness, he doesn't think his father will forgive him for releasing the great devourer and running away from his duty as the green ninja. So after Sensei Garmadon death. He figured reviving Lord Garmadon was the best option.
And once Harumi finds out about a group called "Sons of Garmadon" and that Lloyd might be alive, she still wants revenge. She finds out they are looking for the oni masks. So blah blah, the same thing happens like in the series.
The difference is, Lloyd genuinely doesn't need Harumi for his plans, but she keeps trying to find him and kill him so he brings her along for the ride as leverage against the ninja. Harumi tries to talk Lloyd out of his plan, even realizes maybe seeking revenge was always meaningless, but Lloyd knows he's too far gone to care. (Also he's Lowkey going insane a bit from the Forest of Whispers calling him, but who cares)
