a little about moi

figured I should do one of these since my personal blog has escaped containment and I've been seeing more follows lately.

I'm Woo, a college grad that has None Attachment to any particular gender so you can refer to me however. I'm an adult (25+), neurodivergent, and enjoy making fan content for pokemon and specifically, PMD.

On this blog you can expect to see: - Stuff I think is funny - Politically charged posts (left-leaning) - NSFW content (usually in a comedic "haha peepee" context, but it's still NSFW and can make some folks uncomfortable) and sex positivity - Fat positivity and occasional posts about managing EDs - An occasional bug or weird-looking sea creature - Rare ramblings I send out into the void (tagged #woords) I rarely tag content, as my intention for this blog is not to curate posts for others, but just to have a personal collection of stuff that interests me. That said, I don't mind follows or folks reblogging from me! I say this to set proper expectations for anyone who wants to tread upon this ground, especially considering my fan works are very accessible to younger audiences and a pretty wide demographic.

If you're a minor or otherwise sensitive to these topics, please use your own discretion before deciding to follow. If any of this blog's content bothers you, feel free to take whatever steps necessary to curate your experience online, whether that be unfollowing, casually blocking, whatever you need.

Rough tag guide: - #fav/#big fav, made me laugh quite severely, or really inspiring to me in some way - #ref, for my own personal reference. some of it's for me, some of it is for the people in my life - #woords, my rambling tag and original posts. if you look through this tag, my earlier posts are from my Big Depression Era and i will consider it weird if you interact with those posts

If you have a question for me as a comic author, I'd recommend going to the ask blog since I often will forget to check my personal blog's ask box. Also, other people can see your cool question B)

Languages tend to peak at their word for butterfly. Never seen 2 that are the same, either. Papillon. Mariposa. Borboleta. Fluture. Vlinder. Schmetterling. Pillangó. Babochka. Farfalla. Sommerfugl. Perhonen. Farasha. Titali. Chōchō. Nabi. Húdié. Buom buom. Great job guys, i really mean it.

It is so ridiculously easy to gain a reputation for being competent by just reading signs.

This is not metaphorical. I mean actual, literal pieces of paper/plastic/metal/whatever explicitly erected to inform the public.

“How did you know this was the right trail?” I read the sign.

“Wow, how did you know what that flower is?” There’s a SIGN.

“How did you know we needed to use the side door?” THERE IS A SIGN POSTED ON THE FRONT DOOR.

Just…why are we having such different experiences of the world? People can read. I KNOW they can read. There’s nothing wrong with their vision.

Just. READ. THE. GOD. DAMN. SIGN.

> Get into color grading

> realize every screen displays color slightly differently

> realize every camera captures color a little differently

> realize every format and image editor translates color

> realize every printer deposits ink differently

> realize every kind of paper accepts ink differently

> realize colors look completely different under different lighting conditions

> ok I'm going to do everything greyscale now

> black density changes as ink cartridge depletes and depending on viscosity after multiple prints

this is probably my favorite tiktok of all time and I finally got around to showing it to my dad the other day and now he comes home every day and tells me about all the places he saw crumbling concrete and says "guess they didn't add enough chinchilla flakes"

My dad has worked in construction is whole life, primarily with a company that does concrete foundations, and I immediately sent him this back when I first found it on TikTok, and he IMMEDIATELY shared it with everyone he worked with. They apparently still quote it on his job sites to this day.
