⭐️ - What is an experience/memory in your practice that you think very fondly of? When did it happen? If you could relive that moment, would you?

The moment I was walking among the trees and chose to be a witch. When I realised it was up to me and that I get to decide who and what I am. I would happily relive that moment!

Thanks, lovely!

🪞 - Do you practice vesselhood, possession, or anything similar? How does that affect you, your life and/or your practice?

No, I don't practice anything like that. Sorry for the boring answer!

🪴 - Is there anything that you would never do differently in your practice? Why or why not? Is it a habit? How/why did you start doing it?

I'm trying to learn not to approach things as absolutes, so I won't say never. But I can't imagine a time I would decentre nature from my practice. The rest has always been in flux, trying different things, even coming back to try things again as my life, feelings, and circumstances change. I never used to use candles, for instance, I never felt anything from using them, that has changed dramatically in the last year!

🎧 - Do you have any devotional playlists or music? Do you play the music yourself? Would you like to share a link to your playlist(s)?

I did on my old phone, but I haven't created one on my new one yet. This is a timely prompt to do so, thanks!

I don't play or sing myself, except in my head where I'm a rock star! I keep saying I'll learn drums at 60 if I make it to that age. Nothing cooler than an old lady battering out a rock anthem on a drumkit. Maybe I'll dedicate that process or the music I play!

💍 - Do you have any devotional jewellery, accessories or clothes? Did you make them yourself? If not, where did you get them?

I do, I like enchanting or dedicating jewellery. I really believe in the power of the meaning we give things, and for me, a physical representation of these meanings helps me ve mindful and grounded.

I have various pieces I wear for driving lessons and practice; a badger bone necklace for strength and grounding, a Saturn necklace for discipline and learning, a necklace with my engagement ring (meteorite in silver, I'm a lucky lady! The ring itself broke so my wife had it made into a pendant for my 40th so I can always wear it.) and a totem of my old soul dog to remind me I'm loved and cared for, and crow earrings for the Morrigan. Combined with a beta blocker (magic and mundane working together!), it's made driving possible at all for me.

What types of divination readings are you willing to do, but don't really enjoy? and What kind of offerings or acts of devotion do you give those deities, entities or spirits? from the ask, please :)

13. What types of divination readings are you willing to do, but don't really enjoy?

I don't really do any that I don't enjoy. I sometimes find tarot frustrating, if I feel like I'm not getting the message, but I still enjoy the process and the artwork.

19. What kind of offerings or acts of devotion do you give those deities, entities or spirits?

Lighting a candle is probably my main one. I try to do that daily, where possible.

I like to create offering blends of plants, too. Usually starting with a base of tea and cannabis; they're two of my most beloved things, and it feels like a very personal offering to make from the heart.

And, when I remember, I like to dedicate my workouts to the Morrigan!

The Samhain Ultramarathon 23/100

I was inspired by an ask I answered yesterday to find out if I have a familiar and who and what they might be.

Apparently, I do. They are corporeal but are neither an animal or a tree, and I will find them through patience and community. Not 100% sure on what the last bit means, practically, but I'm open to trying to be patient and mindful as I wait to connect to them!

9. Do you have a familiar? and 12. What is your favorite language to make sigils in? from the ask, please :)

Thank for asking!

9. Do you have a familiar?

That's funny, I was just thinking the other day that I was feeling ready to explore whether or not I have one. I think my old soul dog was a familiar, even before I called myself witch. But he's been gone a long time now, it no longer feels like I would be betraying him to explore the idea. I was planning to meditate and ask the cards about it sometime soon. Perhaps this is the prompt I needed, thank you!

12. What is your favourite language to make sigils in?

I've actually only ever created ones in English, it never occurred to me to try different languages! I have a wee smattering of German; maybe I'll try that for a future sigil!
