i said it was my favorite piece of media that i’ve hyperfixated on since the tender age of 12 and have not let go of since. i didnt say it was a Good piece of media

he doesn’t have the time or the interest for it, but that doesn’t mean he isn’t still romantically attracted to people. he feels things differently, he just can’t work out why that’s the case.
he’s sees all these other people with Urges and is very confused why he doesn’t get that, too. he thinks people are pretty and he feels a Thing in his chest when he looks at a certain person, but it’s on a different frequency to what most people feel. he’s tuned into things slightly differently (and completely tuned out of other things).

when he slowly comes to realise that 1) he likes newt, and 2) he’s asexual, newt is the first person he tells.
he isn’t sure how to say it, at first, because he doesn’t know how to explain it and he isn’t sure if newt will understand him.
but of course newt does. he kisses his forehead and promises him that he loves him unconditionally. he gives him reminders that he isn’t broken, that it’s okay to feel that way, and always makes sure that he’s comfortable with whatever they choose to do.
