Will you EVER contact us on discord, or will that be a scam because someone is messaging me as you on dc asking for details..I haven’t given them over yet, I want to be sure!
Definitely never ever ever ever ever.
I’m sorry it happened to you. Please report there and I’ll let our team know that someone sent this to you.
Ever wondered where to find your blog’s received asks and submissions on the mobile app? They’re in settings, which takes a lot of taps to get to, especially if you have multiple blogs.
We heard some feedback on our recent update to settings on Android that you wanted easier access to your Inbox. So, we’re working on moving the Inbox to your Activity screen.
This was something we worked on during Hack Days in March, so while we put the finishing touches on it, tell us what you think of this change!
Please be aware of common scams! If someone contacts you with a scam, please report and block them. Outside of our support email and official [tumblr] accounts ONLY on [tumblr] (when in doubt, look for the same Staff Member badge that you see on this blog), Staff will never message you or reply to your posts to notify you about changes to your account. Also, [tumblr] will never ask for money other than when you purchase Premium subscriptions, domains, paid themes, or anything sold in TumblrMart.
Experiencing an issue? Check for Known Issues and file a Support Request if you have something new. We'll get back to you as soon as we can!
Wanna go ad-free and get a bundle of other perks? Check out Tumblr Premium!
i fear that some of you take yourselves far too seriously for adults who log into tumblr every day
Today in [tumblr] history: On July 28, 2009, Tumblr @staff published its first Tumblr Tuesday post.
I have 100,000 followers on here (i know; tumblr power user jmg) and i think it gives me, like, zero social capital? Which I think might be why it's still good.
Like, when my agents are pitching me for something, they'll be like, "Look at his facebook! Look at his tiktok!" They're never gonna say, "100,000 people follow him on tumblr. Remember tumblr?"
But the thing is, I don't actually use facebook or tiktok (except for promo). This is the only place I use, the only place where I'm interested in the community and shared creation and all that shit.
So long live tumblr. Nobody who's gonna hire me to do anything has ever heard of it. It makes for a terrible space to promote your forthcoming book tour. And that's literally why it doesn't suck.
Tumblr has tons of settings, and in the app, most of them are in a single list under “General Settings”. We cleaned up the layout and reorganized to make browsing preferences and notifications easier to find, put all your blog and communities settings in one place, and added a few options that were previously web-only.
If you use an Android device, make sure you’re using version 45.2 of the Tumblr app, and you can switch on the new settings area in Labs -> Redesigned Settings. You might need to restart the app to see changes.
Got feedback? Leave it on this post!
The new settings area is now rolling out to everyone on Android. This will no longer be a Labs feature — thanks to those who tested and gave feedback!
You may or may not see the toggle in Labs while we work on enabling this for everyone. As always, if you notice any issues when trying out the new settings, let us know here!
