Yessssss, eat those clown ships you serpentine bastard.

I labor under the sad belief that, given options, players will use those options. To that end I've improved the mod tagging system, allowed for better import/export of controller layouts, editing radio stations in-game, and deleting MP characters.

Our multiplayer beta is now public! Mostly to stress test servers and expand the number of people playing, because I want to see just how much our master server can take before exploding. To celebrate this inevitable exploding, the game is also on sale!

This is very important: You can now see other players sit on chairs. If they can sit. Not every alien race has an ass, after all.

Added pets to the game. They're rare housing decorations you can find around the game. You can place as many of them as you want in a house and pet them, but if you place them in your cockpit they'll confer small utility bonuses to your ship.

And yes, there are multiple pets.

Way back when I first started Underspace my vision was always consistent: A game where you fly out into space with your buddies and get into supernatural cosmic adventures. Now that's finally a reality: We fought a storm then got trapped in magic space prison and had to escape. I could almost cry.

Multiplayer is coming.

Welcome, starchasers! We've got a final update for the end of the year for you, which adds tons of new NPCs to talk to, a full engine update, and... Oh yeah, fully integrated mod support, including the Steam Workshop! There's a lot to this.

On the latest beta branch of Underspace? Then you've got access to the game's modding tools!

I've also uploaded some additional resources off-site to help make mods, if you're so inclined.

Weep and beg whatever gods you believe in, because the game's modding editor and model importing system are all working.

This train right here was made in the game's modding SDK, compiled, built, and exported into a working mod that adds a new flyable ship with original graphics, sound, etc. We're all going to die.

It's taken a shitload of work and a lot of sweat and tears, but Underspace is now almost entirely data driven, and can support mods for a ton of stuff. Wanna port over ships from... other games? Go ahead with this upcoming update! Wanna turn your favorite faction's battleships into fucking cartoon trains? Go ahead! Go nuts! Go fucking nuts! Go crazy! Go insane! Devour all meaning as we move week by week further into the abyss of life that the world has rendered for us! Who the fuck cares?

Good GOD. Two months, two months of nonstop writing for this insanity. Every station now has news stories and blurbs on their announcement boards to read. Small interest stories and lore tidbits, mostly. There's also in-universe books to read and more.

This was possibly even more miserable than the station detailing stuff. Fuck.

Patch 1.47.0 for Underspace is now out! Featuring detailing, detailing, and a few other bugfixes and stuff.

The Veil Nebula is getting a visual update, to help sell the idea that yes, this is space hell. Just because they built a tollroad through hell doesn't stop it from being hell.

Custom custom custom! The game now supports loading in custom paintings, loading screens, decals, and even full paintjobs on your ship. Finally, you can let a bunch of drugged up pirate cultists witness your weird horse anime pinup decals.

Make your house colorful! You can now dye your house, the same way you do your ship or your cockpit. You're allowed to. It's in your lease. You're not getting your deposit back anyway.
