As someone who has a lot of thoughts and feelings about the insane show that is RS Megaman, reading this fic has made me SO excited!!! Thank you for writing it and giving a bit of love to a very niche part of the Megaman franchise <3. The artwork itself was something I commissioned from the lovely and expertly talented @turtlepsych0, who did SUCH an incredible job I haven't stopped looking at it since I got it! I couldn't have asked for better!

I did a little note thing on my Lester design, mostly because i wanted to draw Lester but couldn’t think of anything. I don’t remember when i made up that his kids gave him some bracelets but I kept it- its my reality and I choose what happens.

Translations of my god awful handwriting (I tried by best but its still bad):

Set in an au where Hyacinth, larkspurs and irises grow following the steps of the sun’s children, and Apollo experiences this for himself when he becomes mortal and climbs out of a dumpster.

Basically expanding on a scene from my au idea ‘Growing in the Sun’s Shadow’ set when Lester falls into a dumpster and crawls out splatting onto some New York concrete.

This was a really quickly done comic just to get an idea out of ;a; it’s kinda a mess but it fulfills its purpose so that’s pretty good.

Train Ride

Wanted to draw Lester and Meg just inserted herself. This probably takes place between Tyrant's Tomb and Tower of Nero as the two are travelling to New York.

Despite the tense atmosphere, Apollo got so bored at one point he shilled out some money for a second hand ipod and is trying to get it to work. While Meg is just endlessly entertained by an unicorn book.

This was really quick sketch so quite messy, but eh, it gets the idea across. Done first on sketchbook then coloured digitally

One of the most interesting things about TOA for me is Apollo's relationship with his father. Like, the parallels between Zeus and Nero are abundantly clear, and it's impossible to deny that Zeus has done some horrible shit to Apollo and countless others. What separates him from Nero for me, though, is that while Nero has no love in him at all, Zeus seems to have doted on his son in the past (book 2 lullaby scene), and is suggested to still worry for him even now, albeit only once his very existence is at risk (book 5 council scene).

I think that there is love in Zeus, but that eons of being a tyrant have made him so angry and paranoid that it's been buried pretty deep. Does this make him a good person? No. Does this mean Apollo should forgive him? No way! The dude's a mess, and I think Apollo's choice to distance himself from him is the best thing he could have done. All I'm saying is that I don't think Zeus is quite the bastard some fics make him out to be, and that it makes me sad to always see him portrayed as a simple villain. I think he's more complex than that. Does that make any sense?
