I just started comparing the official English translation of Dorohedoro with the Gantz Waiting Room scanlation and I just have to document some of these egregious changes smh. Like why on earth would they take fujita’s speech bubble and use it as a continuation for what En was saying…… when I read that in the physical copy I thought “huh why’s fujita saying this?” Awful, just awful
Okay to be fair, compared to the scanlation, the English release does have its own charm and funny moments…. The scanlation has more accuracy, but the English release has its own brand of humor that I can appreciate. At the end of the day, the only way I’ll be truly satisfied is if I learn to read kanji and order the entire Japanese volume set u_u

Planet Weezy is just his own homeworld vernacular. Not unsimilar from a human saying “I’m king of the world!”. Also there are always going to be cultural differences since we’re from a didferent planet
