When it comes to unreliable narrators, so many people assume that means the narrator is lying, malicious, or straight up evil, but there are so many kinds of unreliability, it usually just means biased in one way or another.

Emma Woodhouse from Emma is unreliable in that she's Clueless, as the modern high school adaptation so beautifully spelled out

Katniss Everdeen from The Hunger Games and Sophie Hatter from Howl's Moving Castle are unreliable in that they have a low opinion of themselves which hides how awesome they are (Katniss also projects her motivations/ways of thinking onto others, and is hilariously wrong most of the time. Peeta is just sad Katniss, it's not a scheme)

Nick Carroway of The Great Gatsby is unreliable in that he hides himself and heavily judges others.

Coriolanus Snow in The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes is unreliable in that he buys his own justifications and does not understand that he's the villain.

Honestly, Gilbert Markham from The Tenant of Wildfell Hall shows us so many of his faults and prejudices (which he is clearly now ashamed of) that I have trouble seeing him as unreliable at all, despite that novel being told half in his first person narration.

And Nelly Dean of Wuthering Heights, as far as I can tell, is unreliable mostly in that she manages to have compassion and love for almost all of these insane, self-destructive, Gothic rich people
