The Cursed Wish Chapter Five - Saja Boys X Fem! Reader
((I may be one day late but that's just because these heatwaves where I live are slowly melting me T^T))
Once Rumi had recovered from your chat you had asked about the map, about the coloured sections and how this had all happened.
It turns out without your influence Jinu had deceived Rumi, earned her trust and revealed her secret at the worst possible time; the idol awards. The aftermath was Zoey and Mira leaving Rumi, the boys performing and bringing Gwi Ma into the city. Rumi told Celine about what had happened and her aunt had left the city while Rumi tried to fight the demon king. However when she reached the stadium the demons had taken Zoey and Mira hostage and had already stolen the souls of all the humans who attended their concert. Rumi, unable to do anything, ran back to Celine’s house just in time to see a new honmoon lower over the city, cutting her and all the demons off from the rest of the world. She assumed that Celine had alerted other hunters across the country and put up a temporary honmoon to stop the outbreak as much as possible.
As for inside the city after the boys had done their main job they had each been granted a wish they asked for before splitting up and taking refuge in various areas of the City. Different races of demons also split up following whichever boy they idolized the most, meaning that you had to be careful of whose turf you were in and what kind of demons would be after you.
“How many different races of demon are there?” You found yourself asking.
“Well you have the inhuman ones, that take the form of disfigured animals, pure demons who were never human, water demons, the giant ones, the small average ones, the succubi, the ones who used to be human and faceless husks who just follow orders.” Rumi explained listing them off. “But now that the honmoon is gone there can be more that we’ve never seen before.”
“Most of each race has primarily followed one of the five boys though.” Rumi explained, starting to point at the purple part of the map. “This area belongs to Mystery, he has a lot of animal-like demons; mostly hellhounds.” Then she moved to the red area. “This is Abby’s area, he has a lot of the giant demons and if you find any with tattoos this is where they get them done I believe.” The pink area. “This is Romance’s area, mostly succubi followed him and I can hardly enter this area; it really messes with your mind.” The blue area. “This is Baby’s area mostly pure demons followed him, he’s by far the most popular of the Saja Boy’s those following him are loyal and violent. I’ve even heard many demons speculating that if Gwi Ma were to perish against the hunters, Baby would be next in line to be king.” She finally pointed at the area outlined in black. “Finally this is the area where Gwi Ma broke through, anyone who didn’t split off with the other boys should be situated there, including Jinu and that damn manager of theirs.”
“Manager?” You asked. The boys never had a manager back when you met them, Jinu took care of all managerial duties.
“When they were in the human realm they had a female manager with them all the time. Some demon with dark hair who was all over them anytime the public couldn’t see them.” Rumi explained, her expression dark.
You felt uncomfortable at the thought of a stranger all over your boyfriends, but if you weren’t around in this reality then you guessed it was the girl who made the wish trying to take your place.
“We need to go to them one by one.” You decided, your eyes looking over the map deciding who was easiest to get to first.
“We need to kill them.” Rumi added, making your head whip to face her.
“No!” You exclaimed. “We need to make them remember who they are.”
“They are demons, they are evil.” Rumi argued.
“They might be demons but they are far from evil. They made mistakes, they traded their souls for strength, for looks, to escape poverty, to save their loved ones, that doesn’t make them evil, that makes them human.”
“Why do you care so much about them?” She asked, glaring at you.
“Because I love them! In my world they were my soulmates; they gave up being demons for me! The only reason I’m even here is because the children I have with them are here too!”
Rumi paused, her glare softening as she took in what you had said; the fact that you had half-demon children, just like her.
“Gwi Ma has them Rumi.” You told her, your voice breaking slightly. “They’re alive for now but who knows what could happen to them without anyone to protect them. Even if the boys are different in this world, even if the city is filled with demons, I need to save my babies.”
Rumi looked at you for a moment before approaching you slowly, her hands coming up to rest on your shoulders. Her eyes were filled with a mix of emotions but you saw her care for you, her care for the nieces and nephews she had only just learnt of.
“I don’t believe in the boys, but I believe in you.” Rumi told you. “I’ll do what I can, but we need to be careful, your scent is still strong, the moment we leave here the whole city is going to be able to smell you and I can’t protect you from all the demons.”
You had forgotten about your scent, it had been around a year since it had disappeared in your reality. You had assumed it would stay that way but if the boys had never even met you here that meant they had never marked you; you were back to being easy pickings for demons again. The only positive side of this is that the boys would no doubt smell you too and there was one boy you were sure would track your scent down within seconds.
“Can you teleport us anywhere in the city with your powers?” You asked Rumi before glancing at the weapons bunched up in the corner.
“I can roughly.” Rumi answered. “Where do you want to go?”
“Anywhere in the purple zone.” You replied, looking at your choice of weapons.
“You’re crazy the hellhounds will sniff you out in seconds!” Rumi exclaimed.
“I know but so will Mystery. All five of the boys will catch the scent of me and know that I’m their soul mate even if they don’t remember me.” You were about to say more when you saw something you recognised in the small pile of weapons.
You quickly knelt down and pulled out two slim wooden looking objects though you could feel the weight of the steel inside them. You stood up and opened up one of the fans, the fabric barely covering the sharp blades hidden within. You stared at the pattern across the fabric concealing the weapon, a picture of a purple dragon against a black background, its scales glistening in the dim light of the room. The hue of the dragon let you know that the weapon was infused with hunters magic; not quite as strong as weapons made from the honmoon like Rumi’s sword but enough to actually hurt demons when used against them.
You remembered looking at these two fans often when you were little, even if Celine would tell you off for touching them since they were dangerous, they always drew you in. You could sit and stare at the beautifully painted dragon for hours, the edge of the silver blades barely poking out from the normal looking fan. It was a perfect weapon to conceal and hide; something that looked harmless but could slice through skin with a practiced flick of the wrist.
“Do you even know how to use that?” Rumi asked as she stood to your side also glancing at your chosen weapon.
“No but I guess I’ll have to learn on the job.” You replied with a nervous smirk.
“Just be careful not to cut yourself and only use them if you have to okay?” Rumi told you sternly.
You just smiled at her and gave her a little salute before closing the fan and slipping each one under either side of your waistband; out of view to the untrained eye. Rumi rolled her eyes slightly, still looking worried as she placed her human hand on your shoulder. Her familiar eyes shut and her face turned to one of absolute focus before you felt a familiar sensation of the world swirling around you as you both teleported.
