Nathan MacKinnon x Reader

Summary: you’re engaged to the most disciplined man in professional hockey, who hasn’t touched dessert in years and can recite his macros in his sleep. But when he drops to his knees in his captain’s bathroom at a team barbecue and tells you you’re sweeter than any brownie could ever be, you realize his self-control has exactly one exception: you.

Warnings: 18+ content

The afternoon sun filters through Gabe Landeskog’s backyard across the perfectly manicured lawn where half the Colorado Avalanche roster sprawls in various states of post-barbecue contentment. You’re perched on the arm of Nate’s chair, his hand resting possessively on your lower back, thumb tracing absent circles against the thin fabric of your sundress.

“Babe, you want another sparkling water?” Nate asks, already starting to stand.

“I’m good,” you say, pressing your palm against his chest to keep him seated. “I can get it myself if I want one.”

“I know you can,” he says, settling back down but pulling you into his lap instead. “Doesn’t mean I can’t get it for you.”

First time having sex

⤷゛⊗ˎˊ˗ warnings use of "y/n", implied age gap on Nate's part, a lot of fluff

ˏˋ°•*⁀➷ request Hii! This is my first time requesting something… could you make a post similar to your ‘Dirty Talking’ one but make it about the boys reaction to you asking them to take your virginity. Also, could you include MacKinnon… no worries if not

𑣲⋆𐙚 ̊ autor's note ⋆⭒⋆ Hello!! here is another one hehe, I didn't make it 100% like asking them to take your virginity, just for my own comfort while writing them although I think you can really read it like that if you want to. I hope that you like it^^

𝑨𝒕 𝒍𝒂𝒔𝒕 - 𝐍𝐌𝟐𝟗

Nathan MacKinnon x Crosby Reader Word count: 680 Summary: After being together for years, Nate proposes at the place it all began. Genre: Fluff, Romance, Friends to Lovers, Brother's Best Friend, Childhood Friends, Proposal, Established Relationship

The lake was quiet in that way only Nova Scotia ever managed.

Still water, soft wind through the trees, the distant call of birds somewhere beyond the dock.

It was the kind of place that held onto memories whether you wanted it to or not.

Nate stood on the wooden deck of the lake house, hands in his pockets, trying extremely hard not to look like he was losing his mind.

Which he was failing at.

Inside, you were getting ready.

He’d seen you earlier in the kitchen, hair still damp from a swim, wearing one of his shirts.

You had smiled at him like you always had, like he wasn’t Nathan MacKinnon, NHL player, Stanley Cup champion.

Just Nate.

Your brother’s best friend.

And your whole world.

And somehow, the person he had been in love with since even before he was old enough to know what that meant.

“You’re pacing.” A voice called from behind him.

He turned to look.

Your brother leaned against the door frame, arms folded, watching him with an amused expression.

“I’m not pacing.”

Sid raised an eyebrow, and he stopped walking immediately. “... Okay, maybe a little bit.”

Sid just nodded. “That’s what I thought.”

He ran a hand over his face. “I don’t know what I'm doing.”

“That’s also what I thought.”

“Thanks, that helps a lot.”

Sid smiled softly. “She’s my little sister, and you’ve known her your whole life.”

“I know.”

“And you love her.”

Nate didn’t hesitate. “That’s not the problem.”

Sid looked at him for a long moment.

“Then what is?”

He let out a breath, eyes drifting back towards the lake. “Because it finally feels real. I'm actually about to do this. It's been a long time.”

A moment passed.

Then Sid nodded, like that made perfect sense. “You’ll be alright.”

Nate swallowed.

Inside the lake house, you laughed at something your sister had said, the sound drifting through the open window.

His chest tightened.

Sid pushed off the frame. “She’s been waiting a long time too, you know.”

Then walked inside, leaving him alone on the deck.

When Nate finally called you outside.

You walked out to the deck. “Hey, you’re acting weird,” you said, smiling.

He let out a breath that didn’t quite steady him. “I know.”

That made you let out a little laugh. “You okay?”

He nodded once, then shook his head, then stepped closer to you.

You stopped smiling, just a little.

“Uh, Nate, honey?”

He reached into his pocket, and suddenly every version of his life seemed to fold into this moment.

Backyard hockey, frozen ponds and lakes, car rides after games, late night calls, the way you always knew when he was lying, the way he always came back to you.

He dropped to one knee before he could overthink it anymore.

Your breath caught in your throat, “... Oh my…”

He looked up at you, and for once there was no arena, no pressure, no noise.

Just you.

“I’ve been in love with you since before I even knew what it meant, and I spent most of my life trying to pretend I was going to figure out a way to say this better.”

A shaky laugh left you. “Oh my god, Nate.”

He smiled slightly. ”I still haven’t figured it out.”

A moment passed.

“But I know that I don't want to live a life where you’re not my person.”

He opened the box. “You have always been it for me.”

Your hand covered your mouth as tears filled your eyes.

And for the first time in his life, he didn’t feel pressure, only certainty.

“So,” he whispered, voice breaking just a tiny bit. “Will you marry me?”

You didn’t hesitate. “Yes.”

He exhaled as though he'd just survived the impossible.

You dropped to your knees in front of him, laughing through tears, grabbing his face like you had to make sure he was real.

And when he kissed you, it wasn’t rushed or perfect.

It was just home.

Authors Note: I love the brother best friend trope.

yourusername it's my superpower

it's been a few days since you were in milano. everything was amazing; the food, the people, the olympics, and so on. the only problem is that you and nathan haven't been spending much time together. you two used to talk and do everything together, but it's not the same anymore, and the team canada have noticed the tension between you two.

today, you and nathan were at a restaurant with some of the team Canada; Ssdney, mitch, brad, cale, and macklin.

everyone knows that you and nathan are friends, but macklin doesn't. he thinks that you and nathan are a couple.

"i didn't know nathan's girlfriend was funny," macklin said, and everybody looked at him, including you and nathan.

"what girlfriend?" nathan asked, confused. "i don't have a girlfriend."

macklin looked at him, confused, and then pointed at you. "yn is not your girlfriend?"

after those words, everyone started laughing, except you and nathan.

"it's okay, kid," Sidney says, patting him on the shoulder. "everyone thinks they're a couple the first time."

"it's not funny, though," you said, looking at them.

"what she said," mathan agreed.

"c'mon, guys. you two act like a married couple," brad says. "you two should date someday, maybe tomorrow."

"not funny," you reply, but brad's words stay in your mind and Nathan's.

"can i be the godfather?" cale asked with a smirk.

"keep dreaming," nathan answered with a serious face, clearly not enjoying this.

and that was just the beginning.

later that night, everyone on team canada was in cale's hotel room—everyone except nathan, who was with you in your hotel room watching a movie and talking about how well nathan was playing in the olympics.

everyone was planning how to get the two of you to confess your feelings, which was difficult considering you and nathan had sworn not to like each other.

"how about we put them together in all the activities?" mitch suggested.

"too obvious," sid replied.

"just lock them in a room until they confess their feelings," brad said.

"it's not a bad idea, honestly," macklin replied.

and with that, they carried out their plan after the hockey final, when they won the gold.

unfortunately, they didn't win the gold, and they almost forgot about the plan after the ceremony.

you knew the gold was important to everyone, and you knew nathan would be devastated and upset with himself after the ceremony.

nathan and you went to your room because nathan didn't want to be alone in his hotel room. he felt like he had failed the team.

"you know it's not your fault," you asked softly when Nathan sat on the edge of your bed.

"i should have scored a goal," he replied, looking at his feet.

"not only you," you answered, sitting next to him.

"yeah, i know," he said more to himself.

"i hate team usa," you replied, resting your head on his shoulder. "and that jack hughes."

nathan laughed, barely, but he did, and that's all you need right now.

"i'm going to my room to grab some clothes, and then i'll come back," he said as he got up from the bed.

he tried to open the door but couldn't. He looked at you, confused.

"did you lock the door?" he asked.

"i didn't," you replied, getting up from the bed and walking to the door. you tried to open it, but it wouldn't open.

"you two won't leave until you both confess your feelings," you and nathan heard macklin say from the other side of the door.

"i'm going to kill that kid," nathan murmured.

"i heard you, and it's not going to happen," macklin replied. "you're both gonna thank the team later."

you just let out a sigh and crossed your arms when you saw nathan.

"we'll definitely never get out of here," you said.

"we are going to get out of here," nathan assured.

both of you stared at each other in silence for a few minutes. you kept thinking about what brad said at the restaurant and about the times you were alone with him. you kept telling yourself that you two were best friends and that he didn't like or love you the way you do.

nathan was thinking the same. he really didn't want to ruin their friendship. he wasn't dating anyone else because no one compared to you.

"when do you think they'll give up?" he asked, approaching you by taking barely two steps.

"i don't know, maybe until we have to go back to usa." you answered, looking up at his blue eyes. you always loved his eyes; you never got tired of them.

he hummed softly, his gaze falling on your lips, of course you noticed.

"do you have something to say?" you asked before your courage disappeared.

he looked into your eyes and nodded slightly.

"brad was right that night," he answered, not hiding anything, and took two steps closer until your bodies were barely touching.

"about us acting like a married couple?" you asked.

"yes, that," he replied. "i...well, i've loved you since high school, but not as a friend," nathan confessed.

your mouth opened, but no words came out. you were very surprised by nathan's confession.

"i never said anything because i didn't want to ruin our friendship," he continued.

"me either," you finally say. "i was trying to move on from you."

“don't,” he answered so quickly that you chuckled softly.

"why?" you asked with a smirk.

"because i say so," he replied, taking a step closer until your bodies were touching completely.

"whatever you say, nate," you answered. "and just for the record, i'm not going to stop with the memes," you warned.

"don't do it. honestly, i like it," he confessed, his hands grabbing your waist softly as if you were fragile.

"i knew it," you answered triumphantly.

"don't tell anyone. i have a reputation to uphold," he answered, bringing his face closer to yours.

"shut up and kiss me," you said, feigning impatience.

nathan laughed, and before you could complain, he kissed you softly and warmly.

all those years of waiting were worth it.

macklin and the rest of team canada were celebrating in the hallway. Everyone had been there, waiting.

"i will definitely be the godfather at their wedding," Cale said.

and after all, nathan won some gold.
