I broke free and created whatever my heart desired, instead of what I thought people wanted to see in an already saturated market. My focus became the story that each piece would carry and my hope was to spark that same feeling within the wearer. As my love grew for my art, I also had to dig deep and face the delicate nature of each theme I chose to work with. A beautiful yet sometimes painful process for fear of rejection. And isn't that what all forms of love are? A double edged sword, strong, empowering and ready for whatever life will face you with. I also have a more in depth video coming because it was quite a technically challenging piece to create! I wanted the wind rose to be able to turn and this seemed a bit easier than it was in reality. A compass is so interesting to me as it assists you in finding your way (home). Throughout centuries it is viewed as a symbol of protection and safety but also as a way to create movement and motivation.
