hey so i played a new game recently guys.
Hawks: "Don't you EVER use your body to shield me again."
Abiteth: "I will LITERALLY promise you NOTHING."
//immediately after this, for a mission involving the Top 20 heroes because Nomu TM
Abiteth, making direct eye contact with Hawks: "I volunteer as a frontliner because I made a GREAT SHIELD."
Hawks, in his head because she is saying this for the sole purpose of pissing him off: "YOU BITCH!!!!!"
Hawks, externally: "No."
Abiteth: "Yes."
And then they argue about it in front of 18 other heroes who are all like "why does this feel like.... a deeply personal argument...."
Mirko is thriving.
The only thing Hawks doesn't do is pull rank on Abiteth here because he knows that would actually make the situation worse and unlike HER he thinks about things before he says them 😅 (okay I'm lying, Abiteth does think about what she says but only when she knows it's more important, and in this case she is purposefully trying to make him mad)
