Being asexual and racist is embarassing as fuck. Being racist at all is obviously embarassing as fuck but the amount of racism and especially antiblackness i have been seeing from asexuals recently is obscene.

One of the only asexual activists is Yasmin Benoit, a Black woman. She has raised so much awareness for the community. She was the first asexual person to lead Pride in London, she started the #thisiswhatasexuallookslike movement and is THE leading voice for the community.

And you all will celebrate international asexuality day on April 6th but we wouldn't even have that if she hadn't cofounded it.

Edit: why are you all too scared to repost this. Cmon. Be vocal about being against racism

Edit 2: if you feel the need to announce in the comments that you're not reblogging for whatever reason just know that I genuinely do not care.

But also know that I will look through your account and if I notice that youre actively a racist or you just dont reblog stuff about that I will ridicule you in a reblog. Idc idc. Not reblogging is fine but if you feel the need ti announce it youre annoying asf.

this pride month I'm gonna need everyone to be radically pro transgender and also pro intersex and also pro ace and aro spec peoples thanks

Editing this version as well to add:

This post is not about poly people. It is not about gay men. It is not about you, the greater lgbt community. I have respect for you all, and I fall under some of your categories. But this is not about you. It is about us, the intersex people you forget. It is about us, the asexual people you infantilize and tell we can't be sexual. It is about my friends, the aromatic people you tell cannot be allosexual. It is about my friends, the transgender women and men you misgender because you think you have the right to decide. This is not about you. Make your own post and I'll happily support you. But do not talk over me.

People need to understand that the point ISN’T “being single is not a failure if you’re aromantic”, the point is being single is not a failure full stop.

You can be allo and be single; it’s allowed. You feeling attraction doesn’t mean your priority NEEDS to be finding romance (it can be! But it also can not).

Being single should be normalized no matter what your romantic/sexual orientation is. It isn’t a tragedy.
