It would be so painful, especially I imagine that as well as the fact that basically all the kids at Alice's school do nothing but spread rumours about her and Nica, Alice was very hesitant to make friends because of the fear of losing someone else to Chucky.
She had finally worked through that enough when she became friends with Junior and then her worst fear came to life because she didn't realise the doll that was behind her.
Alice would try so hard to keep it together as well, trying to keep something over the wound to stop it bleeding and telling Junior that he's going to be just fine, he just has to keep talking to her for a bit longer.
