Olivetti RST-300: A Beautiful Lie

I recently stumbled upon a fascinating article about the Olivetti RST-300, which supposedly was a yellow personal computer directed by Mario Bellini and unveiled in 1983.

The "il canarino digitale" (digital canary) featured such captivating details as a distinctive startup melody, the Steve Jobs story, and Klein blue prototypes. However, after searching the internet, I discovered that this machine never existed. While Olivetti did manufacture word processors in the 1980s, the RST-300 was never among them.

So it remains a wonderful fictional concept that never came to life.
