4th Grade
She made me change my card everyday
Caught me day dreaming, scribbling
Notes in my notebook, that teacher
Could kill
with those skinny eyes
Sent to school counsellor
for adverse reaction because this one girl
Who hated my guts--not like love/hate
But straight up hated me-- took my notebook from me and ripped all the pages out
My face reddened.
I couldn't focus, or pay attention
But I can tell you one thing, I loved making her mad
Not I hate your guts mad, and not
Love/hate, just
Hate/love
The difference being
She was a maddened
Angel of death
On the dodgeball field,
Pages swirling around
Her like a vortex of wind
And I could only just stand
For a little longer
Before my knobble knees
Gave out
And then wow, there's so
Much light from the sun.
