do it alone!!!! i know it's scary but no one is judging you for being alone. the time will pass anyway, if you do not go to the things you want to go to you will regret it. do not sit in your isolation and loneliness waiting for people to magically appear in your life, the right people will find you when you start putting yourself out there. even if that takes a while, learning to be happy and sufficient in your own company is an invaluable life skill xx

hello hello and of course!!! i am of course a baby gay so i may have missed a few things or gotten a few details wrong xx

in the simplest terms, masc and fem are simply presentation and aesthetic focused umbrella terms that can be used by anyone who presents masc/fem. wheras, butch is a lesbian sociopolitical identity that also involves presenting masculine, but first and foremost it is an identity rooted in the history of lesbian bar culture around the 1940s and has a deep connection with antifascism. femme is also a lesbian sociopolitical identity and the role of a femme lesbian in history was primarily to protect butches due to the fact that they could hide their queerness with a more palatable feminine presentation, and they could protect butch lesbians from the harassment they faced from police and street violence. there are likely things i'm missing because i only went into a surface level history because i wanted to know what the terms meant so i didn't missuse them :)
