I think one of Damian’s art projects would be to paint all of his siblings in the style of a family portrait but at the age they were when they first joined the family. So Dick is there at eight years old doing a handstand on the arm of the couch and eleven year old Jason sitting next to him with a book on his lap and so on and so forth. And eventually he gives it to Bruce who just tears up the moment he sees it because those are all his kids and they're all together and they might have played silly kids games together and fought over who got the biggest slice of cake and everything.
Dick and Barbara's homemade horror films:
(Homemade horror films Dick and Barbara made with a combination of gymnastic skills and the spooky vibes of the Wayne Manor estate)
- (Previously mentioned) a horror film in which they explore the caves under Wayne Manor and Dick gets possessed, twists his body in a genuinely distressing way and chases after Barbara
- Barbara being possessed and guest star Alfred Pennyworth performing an exorcism (This one genuinely upset Bruce because Barbara's character kills Dick and Alfred in one scene)
- Found footage poltergeist style film (special effects provided by Wally)
- The creature from the sewers, originally intended to be a spoof about Killer Croc but when they showed it to Clark he told them that their dark humour was genuinely horrifying and that they should edit it as a horror instead
- Their final, never before seen film, where Bruce agreed to act (he never agreed to act before) in an effort to try to salvage his increasingly tense relationship with Dick. Bruce and Barbara played vampires and Dick was a young man Bruce intended to turn to be the groom of his 'daughter', Barbara. Dick and Bruce had their falling out before the editing of the film could be finished (Tim later found the footage and edited together what he believed the film was meant to be. One day he will show it to Dick, Barbara and Bruce)
I have this really dark headcanon that Dick came up with something he calls the Straight Man failsafe. It is his plan that if the threat of the Joker comes so great he does not believe his family will be able to protect themselves. And his plan is simple.
He will beat the Joker to death and then take an enhanced form of Joker gas himself - one that can only be cured using an antidote he has stashed away in Gotham. Because he knows none of the others would revive the Joker but Bruce. And he knows that leaves Bruce with a choice. Either save his son or save the Joker. And if Bruce choses to save Dick, then the Joker dies and Dick can handle being banished from the family because the family will be sage. And if Bruce chooses to save the Joker, then the family will walk away from Bruce because he chose the Joker over Dick and Dick’s younger siblings will be safe. And if no one shows up, then the Joker still dies and Dick won't have to deal with the consequences of killing him.
And like Dick isn’t going to use it but the plan is there. It's his nuclear option, his way of knowing he can end it if Bruce won't.
Thinking about Bruce putting some of Dick's old clothes into a charity bin to be handed out to kids in need in Gotham and then a couple of years later he is checking the tags of some of Jason's clothes because one of the moms sent a message around about people checking if their kid might have accidentally grabbed her kid's jacket by mistake and he finds a faded 'D. Grayson' tag in Jason's jacket and realises that Jason ended up with some of Dick's old clothes and is just standing there on the edge of tears.
Some magic user for XYZ evil plan needs to break the spirit of Gotham City. So he uses magic to trap Lady Gotham in a physical form with the plan of torturing her. Only Batman shows up to rescue Lady Gotham. And he is expecting a dignified, if not a little downtrodden, woman. Instead, a relatively new city in compared to globally, is a teenaged girl who is honestly very excited to meet her blorbos (the Batfamily) and tell them all of her headcanons about the Justice League. And Batman is stuck housing this strange kid who kinda treats the Batfamily like extremely traumatised OCs. But the more time he spends with her, he realises she actually has a really crippling case of gifted kid burn out because Gotham had such potential in the early days before the crime lords moved in and this kid feels like all point of trying to be better has gone because Gotham never lived up to its potential. So Bruce has to show this kid there's hope for Gotham yet.
(Side note: if DC where to hire me, I would do it as one of those yearly specials like they did with Santa showing up in Batman comics. And that would be the first year and the second year would be Metropolis also getting stuck in a human body and they're really progressive and love technology and see the hope in the future. And Lady Gotham and Metropolis end up falling in love so when they get returned to their non-physical forms, one of the magic users ensures that they magically take human form once a year so thtey can be together)
I like to imagine that there are millionaires in the DC universe who aren't good like Bruce or Oliver and aren't evil like Lex. But they have worked out that bruce Wayne is Batman and Oliver Queen is Green Arrow and all other superheroes and villains who happen to be rich. So every time a hero is off world or injured or something, they short stock in their company to make money when it inevitably dips because their CEO is uncontactable or gets into a mysterious car accident to cover up crime fighting injuries.
Damian getting his hands on some old footage of Jason from the Jaybin days and immediately realising he can weaponise it with his vocal mimicry skills.
Bruce wasn't slept in too long? Damian asks him to go to bed in baby Jason's voice.
Dick isn’t eating? Baby Jay's voice and Damian’s pleading face has him ordering takeout for them in less than two minutes.
Bruce going up to clear out the attic with Duke and Damian and the two keep asking to keep all the old stuff. And Bruce tells them they can if they can correctly guess who originally owned it. And then he would hold up a leather jacket and they would immediately be like 'Jason' and Bruce is like 'No, Dick' and he holds up an ugly Christmas jumper and both are convinced it was Tim's but it it was actually Jason's.
I continue to think that the Justice league making the Teen Titans care for those electronic baby simulators is the funniest thing I have ever come up with and would like to add to that that they install baby bouncers in a row near the door to their vehicles so any time they need to rush out to fight crime they hang their babies up in the bouncers all in a row.
The trauma that Bruce and Dick must have been left with after being separated in Batman and Robin Year One. Like Bruce was handcuffed and being led away. And Dick resists the social worker and is also handcuffed and pulled into a car, screaming Bruce’s name. Both are going to have nightmares about that. Because Bruce hates himself for not helping when Dick was screaming for him and Dick is going to be crumbling because Bruce didn’t help him or fight back. And both understand it was necessary in the situation but its got to eat them up.
Batkids getting deaged thoughts again (I am imagining all the kids are at toddler age):
- The first thing the Justice League know about it is an alert that the mansion, grounds and Batcave have gone into lockdown. So Clark calls to check in and finds that Bruce is panicking about criminals deciding to invade while his babies are literal babies so he turned the defences on
- Jason and Damian are velcro kids. Bruce constantly has one in each arm and they burst into tears the moment he puts one down
- Cass likes to be near Bruce but not held. She just chills in the same room as him because he makes her feel safe and loved. She watches him a lot
- Bruce becomes convinced that all baby proofing methods were invented because the coming of Dick and Tim was prophecised. If there is a potentially dangerous situation to be had, those boys are toddling a beeline straight to it
- Duke and Stephanie like to play pretend games and when Alfred manages to source a dolls house for them they essentially create a clue-quese murder mystery
- Damian will only eat the cultural dishes he recognises. Dick will eat most things but if a foodstuff he doesn't like so much as touches his plate the entire plate has to go. Any food spicer than mild cheddar is too spicy for Tim. Duke only wants to eat fruit and dried cereals. Cass will eat whatever Bruce gives her but only a small portion and Stephanie decides she only wants to eat bananas which Jason copies.
- After Bruce's intital panic, he gets the hang of it and comes to really cherish the time. He gets them all set up beds in one room so he can read them all stories at bedtime and decides to take them on a trip to somewhere he won't be recognised so he can do days out with them
Dick learning about the sheer amount of time and money Bruce put in to ensuring Dick had equal rights to the Wayne fortune even after Bruce had legally adopted Jason. Like he spent a small fortune ensuring no one could disspute Dick’s portion of the inheritance despite Dick being his ward. And it could have been so much easier for Bruce to just force Dick into allowing himself to be adopted but the thought never even crossed Bruce’s mind.
And while detailed work has been done to secure Jason's portion, it is nothing compared to what was done for Dick. Because Jason is legally Bruce’s son but also Bruce knows that even if bad actors decide to try and manipulate and trick Jason if Bruce does die, Dick is never going to abandon that boy to the wolves and even if Dick is not legally his son and heir, Bruce raised him to be it and therefore he is more than equipped to help Jason keep his inheritance.
Jason having to get a suit for some fancy event and Bruce is demanding to come with him and Jason accuses Bruce of not trusting him and gets annoyed about it. Until he finds Bruce going through an old photo album and it's got pictures of Dick trying on all his suits for prom and Jason realises that Bruce never got to have a memory like that eith him and he is sitting this as an opportunity to manage something similar. So Jason agrees to let Bruce come and lets him photograph him in all the different suits and the two are just joking around and having proper father son time.
