it’s ready…

some 10+ years of collective work in this book before me… softcover of course, but a quality time i know this’ll give one day. my first indie ttrpg, i welcome myself proper to the wonderously horrific land of Mortasheen!

i’ve just been flipping through the random pages at my own leisure so far, reading up on the monsters and world and things and no closer to understanding the game’s technical gameplay ‘language’… in due time though, i will.

here’s some of the personal standouts i found among this book’s pages, below the cut for spoiler reasons if anyone cares about that. this is also just gonna be a long read so strap in.

Hey guys, remember to not use "nb" when you talk about being nonbinary. Nb means "non black". It is a term that Black people use to refer to anyone that isn't Black, and nonblack beings shouldn't take away the meaning of the term. You can use enby or enban if you want to shorten "nonbinary".

Solar doesn't compete with agriculture, and can be beneficial to it.

Just also cover our car parks.

Especially with summers getting hotter and dryer in a lot of places, solar panels in agricultural fields is a really good idea. Sheltering vegetables from the hottest, driest time of the day will help them grow better. Cows and sheep and such seek out shelter from the sun. I think I recall reading that they found higher biodiversity in pastures that had solar panels because of the shelter they provide.

I'd like to see a very hard push for solar covered parking; people can be massive shitheads about any kind of power generation, but nobody objects to covered parking

i feel like one of the questions of all time is “what kind of boss fight would you be”

me for example; i’d be like, an early-midgame optional monster/creature boss in a hidden area. also pretty damn difficult for the point in the game you could find it in. i drop 1 (one) neat tool/weapon/badge/charm/whatever and serve no greater purpose to the plot besides worldbuilding and an extra challenge for those willing to look around
