Just let that sink in.
thats why the vietnam war was the last war ever televised
Chelsea Manning went to jail trying to show people the extend of the atrocities American commits overseas. I watched some of the leaked footage. I think some of the worst of it was a drone bombing of a wedding in Yemen, then a day later America bombed the funeral of those killed at the wedding. Ambulances and first response units (which are protected under international law), were being bombed. People trying to take shelter were being bombed.Β
And thatβs just drones, which is to say nothing for the numerous illegal black sites America operates around the world. Or the effects of using white phosphorus, which will continue to burn as long as oxygen is present and melts human tissues. That was used inΒ Fallujah, which was a blood-bath from start to finish.Β
Which is why I have zero trust in the military, both American and British, because this is just some of the stuff we know about.Β

βOh youβre neurotypical? Iβm so sorry βΉοΈβ
september is coming up so hereβs your yearly reminder to leave billie joe armstrong the fuck alone
Well of course. We donβt wake him up until October 1st.
His dad is dead, just donβt.
In case anyone reading my blog is unaware, this is a reference to the Green Day song titled βWake Me Up When September Endsβ a song that Billie Joe Armstrong wrote following the death of his father in September of 1982 when Billie Joe was ten years old. The title of the song references his desire to sleep through September in an effort to get some emotional distance from the death of his father.
Heβs since been open about the emotional difficulty of having written the song since many people now message him on October 1st to βwake him upβ despite the song being a memorial to his departed father.
Itβs generally seen as respectful to not try to wake him up. Let him sleep and let him remember his father in peace.

reblogging again because the end of September is coming up. leave him alone.
Reblogging as a reminder to leave Billie Joe Armstrong the fuck alone on October 1st and any day after it if your message is going to contain anything to do with βwakingβ him up because September will be over.

White women in the south donβt know how to cook
Last week I watched this YouTube video about a 3rd gen restaurant that makes box lunches in some where Virginia. The front of the house was all white and the owners were white. The people making these labor intensive box lunches were all Black and some of the workers there were 2nd and 3rd gen workers. Watching the video really pissed me off because the people making the food could easily make their own restaurant and the owners wouldnβt know what to do. The owners couldnβt fire the people that prepare their box lunches, not all at once anyways. When the owners said we take care of our people it made sick.
Another restaurant story that pissed me off was this cafe in Charleston S.C. The owners parents had maid to cook their meals. When the woman was getting on years owners asked their former maid to work in the kitchen and teach their chef her recipes. Donβt worry they have a picture of the woman in the restaurant.

All βgood olβ fashioned southernβ cookbooksβ were stolen recipes from black women, usually with a smiling ugly racist white woman on the cover.
Itβs fucking disgusting

So, a lot of people are offended by this post, and Iβm honestly, truly, wholeheartedly, and deeply sorry, that you would think I would give a fuck, about your fucking opinion.
Iβm just blocking to save myself from hearing your worthless opinions any further.
here is alton brown saying the same thing - http://twobrowngirlstalkback.tumblr.com/post/147184677153/alton-always-coming-with-the-receipts-get-on-that

Basically, like it *should* be common knowledge that traditional southern cooking was created in black kitchens
Southern/Soul food is rooted in African tradition. Peanuts, also called ground-nuts, were brought to North American from Africa; you canβt stop at a gas station in the south without seeing βboiled p-nutsβ for sale. We also call them goobers, which comes from the word βnguba.β
Rice known as βCarolina Goldβ wouldnβt have been a cash crop without the knowledge of slaves from West Africa, who already knew how to cultivate it and were sold to plantations because of this skill.
American food traditions, especially in the south, can and should be attributed to the Africans brought here against their will who kept parts of their culture alive despite grueling hardships.

The best part is the fact that out of the two of them Martha Stewart was the one who went to prison.
Waitβ¦what?
Wiiiiild. He did commit murder (in self defense - no judging) and Americaβs Best Housewife was sent to jail because of insider trading, securities fraud, obstruction of justice and conspiracy. This is wiiiiiild πππ
also he has every right to make fun of kanye west considering snoop has had a successful career for about two decades including his own cookbook and appearing in movies whereas kanye is a flat earther who had to crowdfund another album because he ran out of money despite kim kardashian being with him, not having the money to produce another album should be the metric when you know you can tell a musician has failed somewhere in either money management or actually being a musician rather then a famous trainwreck
snoop dogg is a good man who loves cooking, nature, and supporting the dreams of young children in poverty. kanye west helped get trump elected.
seriously though check out his cookbook its beautiful
and filled with lgiht humor, legit cooking, and charming life stories
Whenever I think about snoop I remember that episode of cribs where he lived in an unusually modest house compared to everyone else on that show, spent the entire time with his young daughter hugging onto his leg and dragging her around as he walked. He even talked about how he didnβt want his kids to be musicians and that he just wants them to have a chance at a normal life / he doesnβt wish music career drama on anyone
The dude is mega down to earth for having a networth of 135 million dollars and staying relevant for longer than some of the top charting musicians have been alive
how fucking strong is Zuko like why do you even bother with your bending when you could just wham bam snap Aangβs spine with a kick
