Ashveil, who whenever the shadows in his arm flare up, finally finally leans on you for comfort after, letting you and Mr. N gently tend to the wounds
Ashveil, who relaxes during your routinely evening chats, often sharing some of his past with a melancholic but endearing look to his eyes, as you listen to him, and he to you, sharing an intimacy like a married couple of years
Ashveil, who relishes in the rare and few nights where he is able to sleep by your side instead of the cryosleep, grateful your ice ability too can reduce the phantom pain just a little
Ashveil, who at times, when he finds himself alone, is washed over by a sense of guilt due to the fear of burdening you with himself
Ashveil, who longs for nothing more than a peaceful retirement, letting himself naturally age and grow old together with you by his side, enjoying the calm of each day

Ashveil, who receives a seemingly normal client request from a child for a parent teacher conference and ends up up falling in love with their mother, who just so happens to be single
- I think you having a daughter who’s bratty would make things funnier
- She’s a sweetheart though, and when it was time for parent teacher conferences she hid the slip from you in fear of burdening you because you’re so busy working two jobs
- Had you known, you definitely would have gone though
- But that’s why she reaches out to Ashveil, paying him with the small amount of allowance she saved up along with a dogdash coupon for him to act as her guardian
- “Just pretend to be my dad” she’d tell him, which of course wouldn’t sit right with Ashveil till she explains her mother is single
- He’s still be reluctant to hold onto that title, but would cope by repeating to himself that it’s just a one time thing
- After the conference, your daughter’s teacher would send you an email of the progress report because you’re still her primary guardian, and would start the email mentioning how your “husband” filled in for you
- Even though you’re at work you leave early to find out what the hell happened 💀
- You’d frantically run through the streets of Dovebrook district before finally running into your daughter and Ashveil
insert chicago by michael jackson - Cue an incredibly awkward spectacle and Ashveil making 19374936 apologies, even giving your daughter a refund, though he got to keep the coupon since your daughter kept insisting out of pity
- Anyway you’d scold your daughter too ofc
- Ashveil would just be standing there
- But once you find out her reasonings you’d almost be in tears
- Ashveil would definitely comfort you in response and give some advice for you two out of habit, talking a lot about family and relationships
- You realize how silly this situation was and a wave of endearment finds itself over you—prompting you to suggest that the detective joins you two for dinner that day
- You felt a little bad that he didn’t get much out a job he was properly hired to do
- That was the first time in who knows how long where Ashveil had a home cooked meal
- He cries taking the first bite (yes this is a sakamoto days reference)
- Anddd this silly day would ensue many more interactions between you two <3
- Eventually you’d open up to him about your ex-husband
- And you just KNOW Ashveil would hate the guy
- Your daughter would secretly hope you two marry so Ashveil becomes her dad fr
- Which does eventually happen <3

Ashveil who's acting as a stand in parent for a student who, by all the unfortunate stars above, actually ends up falling for you, the teacher/professor.
So, when he ends up somehow 'fathering' at least 15 kids just to see you, he has to come up with more and more bizarre stories about how he took them under his wing. Yes he found this one in a back alley in a cardboard box. He found these two huddling together on a cold winter night on the sidewalk. Yes, yes, they didn't want to be adopted but his heart couldn't bear leaving them be and they eventually warmed up. Oh? Yes he got this one out of a vending machine, don't ask, it's a miracle of love and fate.
Its perhaps a little too late when Mr. N finally suggests.. meeting you OUTSIDE of work. Ashveil can only slump back into the freezer with a loud groan.
Thinking of sleepy mornings with Ashveil where he lazily greets you with a kiss on your cheek that soon turns to nibbling because that’s a bad habit of his when he’s hungry. You’re just used to it at this point, and tell the man in your croaky voice to get up and get some breakfast. He’d instead nuzzle himself into your shoulder, pouting and complaining about not wanting to part with you yet, even if it’s just leaving the room. It’s just that the mundane times between you two are short and rare because he’s so busy </3

Touya, who insists on brushing your hair, then complains about any split ends he sees forming, but is gentle nonetheless as he can’t not devote himself to you—it’s in his nature.
Touya, who likes to lazily rest his arm over your shoulder.
Touya, who rolls his eyes when you ask him if he can be your personal heater, but he lets you anyway
Touya, when it’s the dead of the night, and it’s as if there is no one in the entire world but you two, relishes in your gentle comfort while you hold him close and stroke his hair, craving your words of praise, needy. After all, it is far more vulnerable to submit to love then to give it out
Touya, who isn’t a morning person, so he likes to sleep in while being surprisingly clingy

yk the inspiration for this post was something I sent on someones strawpage like a year ago, to quote I wrote: "Pov touya is drying your hair, it’s quiet, and he’s doing it more gently than you’d expect. You eventually start to relax, when suddenly he breaks the silence, 'you have split ends'"

Ashveil having a spouse in a location far from his own is very fitting, I think. Through how he treats Mr. N, we know that he keeps the people close to him far from danger. You did know about his identity as La Mancha before marrying him, and full well what you were getting yourself into with how he’s barely home. Though that doesn’t make it feel any less lonely. He does make sure to make it up to you when he does come home of course. But not before a period of awkwardness due to feeling guilty about it. Then once that wears off he’ll probably smother you in an exhausted, needy, and whiny way.
