- about the artist: wloclawek.eu: From early youth, he struggled with a disability — he suffered from muscular atrophy, which clearly influenced his perception of the world and creative determination. (…) Based on his works, exhibition reviews and letters of recommendation written by outstanding figures from the art world, he was admitted to the Association of Polish Visual Artists in 1978. His paintings were shown at many exhibitions in Poland and abroad, and their reproductions often appeared on the pages of calendars, poetry books and magazines. (...) He most often painted unreal, invented scenes in which he combined and transformed objects, architecture, landscape elements, and sometimes human figures or animals. These were a form of internal dialogue with the environment and expressed the freedom of dreams of a mind imprisoned in a weak body. Art critics describing his work classified it as surrealism or fantasy painting. Marta Ipczyńska: Zbigniew Stec's paintings reveal his fascination with surrealism. (...) The source of inspiration for the artist is, as he himself admits, "the world of the subconscious, dreams, and his own imaginations." He subjects motifs drawn from reality to fantastical metamorphoses or juxtaposes them in ways that defy the logic of the real world. This gives his canvases a unique atmosphere: dreamlike and absurd, laced with melancholy

I think her name is Miška. She doesn't seem to talk much to the others—she isn't very chatty, or rather, she mostly talks about things that interest her and that she’s passionate about—but overall, she’s actually quite nice.
I honestly worry about her; she very often wanders away from home to the edge of the village. Apparently, she loves winter—but only when it’s actually snowing. Still, I keep wondering: aren't her parents worried when they let her go off alone like that?
