OMGGGGGGGGGGGGG, Sansa Stark’s fans gather here!!!!!! What if we blended some of Sansa's experiences into Victoria's story for a POV on ROTF? I mean, Victoria Verstappen was also born in the cold North, has an adoring older brother and mother.May be growing up under Jos's manipulative influence and Max's overprotectiveness turns her into a naive, dreamy young lady just like early Sansa. She have been soooooooo infatuated with a green-eyed, brown-haired Ferrari princess (SHE IS ALSO A VERSTAPPEN HOW CAN WE BLAME HER!), aspiring to become a “true princess” like Charles (Max laughed at this idea for like three hours )until she witnessed Charles shove her beloved brother into the mud and laugh heartily.

And oh my goodness, I am so in love with this! I’ve never considered the idea of both Verstappen siblings having a fascination with Charles- but what a fun idea.
I’m imagining a banquet when they’re young where King Mattia orders Charles to wear a dress, and Max has the absolute worst butterflies when he sees his little love all dressed up and pretty, so he hides it by spending the evening teasing Charles mercilessly and telling him he should go sit with Victoria and the royal ladies since he’s wearing such a lovely gown.
Only when Charles does get fed up and stomps off, Max is much more displeased when he sees that Charles does actually end up chatting with Victoria. He sees Charles’ gentle smile and the stars in his little sister’s eyes and feels the most unpleasant combination of jealousy and overprotectiveness (and also a touch of happiness that Charles is being so kind to his sister, but who has to know that.)
So of course Max goes over and purposefully spills ale all over Charles dress. Of course Charles responds by grabbing a handful of food and throwing it directly in Max’s face. And of course the two of them end up wrestling on the floor while their handlers shriek at them to stop and Victoria watches with an air of annoyance as she tries to clean her dress from the ale and food that was the collateral damage from these two idiot boys attack on each other.
After that, Victoria is more than happy to let Max and Charles do their little dances with each other without getting in the middle of it. She might be feisty herself, but unlike Charles, she knows how to take care of a pretty dress. And that strange boy is so obsessed with her brother, she knows better than to bother trying to keep his attention 🤭

I reread Carpe Noctem the other day and it still hit so hard. Genuinely one of the best lestappen fics I’ve ever read even if it hasn’t finished yet.
I’m not sure because of the theme, the writing or something but it’s written so well that the slow burn part in it is so *fantastic* *no notes*. It leaves you crave more for the story and captures every moment beautifully like wow:///
I just wish we knew where to interact with the writer, but honestly, in the end, I’m quite happy that we get to have them in the fandom. Lestappen writers literally save my nights🙏
