Dick winters being harrassed by a man giving him a ride on his way back home from basic
'Next day Winters was up by 6 A.M. and on the road by 7. He grabbed a bus and rode to the edge of town, then stuck out his thumb. He almost immediately got a ride that carried him to Charles Town, West Virginia, arriving there by 4:30. It was starting to get dark. but he wanted to reach Clarksburg if possible, which would still give him three hundred miles to cover to get home. His luck was in, and Winters got another ride. Winters recalled that the driver was a "nice enough looking fellow" and a good conversationalist. Until he laid his hand on Winters' leg.
"We can find a nice hotel up ahead and have a good dinner," the man said. "Then I can make you feel happy."
"Here's a better idea," Winters said, lifting the man's hand away. "Do you see that crossroad up ahead? I'll be happy if you just stop right there so I can get out."
The man didn't argue and Winters found himself standing alone on a dark highway in the West Virginia mountains, miserable, cold and somewhat shaken by his unfamiliar experience with the car driver.'

This seems like a good place to note that I saw a costume measurements sheet for BofB that said Babe had a 30in waist and I’ve been normal about that ever since.

In Company of Heroes, Lavenson's nephew tells a story about him punching some antisemitic officer and Ambrose just cries about how those citizen soldiers just fought their way in to the paratroops. 🙄

He makes the mistake of looking up and meeting his eyes. Big, brown, a little bloodshot and glassy. "You're good. Being s'good to me. Wish I could be good for you, too." Manny's hands still for a moment, while he watches John watch him. This close, it's clear the other's gaze isn't really focused on him, or anything for that matter. "You are good," he looks back on the rest of the buttons, working his way down to the last one, "You also need to go lay down."
