something that confuses me is that the gameboy line had a backlight like as far back as the original gameboy games w the gameboy light but then. did not continue with that, up until the gba sp. what caused this like itd be one thing if backlit screens werent invented or were super costly but they clearly were cheap enough to put on a special variant of the original gameboy all the way back then so what the fuck

ok so from googling i found out that bc the gameboy color didnt have a backlight (to save battery in a world that still expected long as shit battery life, partially because things like backlights werent expected features yet and so you could get like 20 hours out of some batteries from a drawer. also apparently the early backlight on the gameboy light made the picture look like shit but like. im not sure how true that is) and sold well they figured the gba would be fine without one even though the world had changed and then didnt have an opportunity to fix that until the sp i guess

I am writing this after passing out from crying so hard, and my heart feels like it's stopping.. and I will not forgive anyone who reads this and chooses to ignore it and simply scroll past, because I am living the hardest moments of my life. My sister is dying slowly in front of my eyes, and the doctors have told us that we will lose her within the next 24 hours.

Due to the illness, she hasn't been able to eat or drink for more than a week, and her weight has dropped to only 6 kilograms. The doctors told us they are unable to do anything now because she urgently needs medication, but we cannot afford the cost of treatment. I feel helpless watching her weaken day by day, while time is running out.

I'm not asking for the impossible; I'm simply asking for a chance to save her life. Please, if you can't donate, feel free to share our story. It may reach someone who can give her a new lease on life.

LGBT family is homeless and needs help!!!

Hello everyone. My family and I are still struggling with homelessness and between the heatwave and a slowly increasing cost of living, it is getting harder and harder to get by. We haven't had any luck finding work in our area and we've been expanding our search as best we can but it's still slow going. In the meantime, we need help affording food, temporary shelter, and other important needs so we can focus on fixing our situation and recovering from frequent illness. Morale is low and I'm worried I won't be able to keep up with the stress for much longer.

I greatly appreciate anyone who can help, be it through sending aid or sharing our post so it can reach others who might be able to help. I'm sorry that I have to e-beg again. However, as most of you know from my previous posts, I have been struggling to make ends meet while on welfare. And due to my outstanding bills and ever-increasing debt, it has been difficult for me to make ends meet. With the rising cost of living, I have been relying on my credit cards to pay bills and simply get by on a day-to-day basis.

This has placed a significant financial strain on me, and repaying them is more than I can afford. I have also been supporting my sister through her benefit sanctions, which ended earlier this month, leaving me well over my limit.
