i wonder “wow how am i so wanting to do anything but sleep at 2:30 in the morning” before remembering the mountain dew baja blast i drank in lieu of dinner.

Your art trademark to me is your line less painting like art and the ears :)

oooh yesyesyes the ears i've had for a looong long time, they've just kinda evolved shape over the years. like they used to be a lot bigger but recently they've kinda morphed into something more similar to the total drama style. but the general shape and big polygonal expressiveness to them has been there for like five hundred years

unsure if "lineless painting-like" is referring to my Lineless-lineless art or the colored outline stuff i usually do, but either way it's cuz it like feels soft n i like my colored rendered art being soft n nice. but i will occasionally dabble in big thick dark outlines cuz it's a real crunchy diversion from the usual and i also like it :>

i think im gonna make a tag for my oc content. idk if i’ll post them all too often but um im bored and i like categorizing things :>

#rock-ocs will be the general tag, and after a colon will be the character in question

capiche?

yk i realized that i haven’t drawn a lot of semi-feral/“zombie” ezekiel so i remedied that a little

with expressions inspired by noelle holiday deltarune (except the last one) cuz her ch 5 face sprites BANG HARD

i should try more to distinguish zombie design from hatless human design… i mean i shagged and slightly lengthened his hair and added his eyebags and sunked cheeks and chipped ear but… idk it doesn’t feel like that much…

also bonus fully feral zeke with shading wow!

ugh i love drawing him in distress and despair it’s so enriching for me :3

and i would just love love love to stay in my dorm all day where it’s 77° instead of 87 but noooo i have to go out and interact with people and not be a hermit blehhhhhgh. is horrendous horrible heatwave an excuse to be a hermit . huh.

i love how everywhere on campus is hot as assballs and there is nowhere safe from 93° weather and five billion % humidity. i love it so much. i wanna go home at least our ac Fucking Works

remix five flutter speed is so confusing and weird because it’s functionally in half-tempo

this is easiest to see with the grasshoppers, as they bounce on eighth-notes in the minigame but whole notes in the remix.

but this also applies to the butterflies, which tend to be players’ main problem area. borrowing visuals from this person’s visual explanations of flutter speed and remix 5 (who has a lot of very good visualizations of groove minigames up to remix 5 thus far):

with the cue mirroring the main rhythm/melody, it’s pretty evident that the butterfly flaps in flutter speed are on dotted eight notes (0.75 beats, 3 sixteenth notes)

while in remix five, it’s even easier to see with this transcription that the flaps are on dotted quarter notes (1.5 beats, 3 eight notes)

so, the butterflies are essentially on the same rhythm in both the game and the remix, if you view remix 5 flutter speed in half-tempo. still, it might feel even more different because the butterflies are usually coming on the offbeat, potentially making it a bit confusing (especially with their constant onslaught and the weird rhythm created by dropping an eighth note between your input and the next cue)

but still there is nothing wrong with flutter speed in remix 5, it’s just manipulated in a weird way to both line up with the song’s melody, and to add challenge. there is rhyme and reason to remix 5 flutter speed and im tired of ppl saying there isn’t

also check out rano_079 on youtube their rh visualizations (which i used for this post) are great and probably have some insightful musical commentary too. i just don’t know for sure cuz i can’t read japanese
