INTRO POST
πΏ Welcome to My Tumblr πΏ
Hi everyone! My name is Kyra, and I am a practicing and devout Catholic. βοΈ My Catholic faith is incredibly important to me and is a central part of who I am.
I used to be on mainstream social mediaβTikTok, Instagram, X, Facebook, etc.βbut I eventually decided to step away from all of it because I wanted to live a quieter, more peaceful life. Tumblr is one of the few places where I still genuinely enjoy sharing my thoughts and interacting with other people. π
So, what can you expect to find here?
Youβll probably see my thoughts on:
β€οΈ Politics, Culture ποΈ Society π Current events βοΈ Catholicism π My personal Catholic faith (although I do try to keep some aspects of my faith private) π The world around us π Occasional hot takes, personal observations, random thoughts, and reflections
I don't expect everyone to agree with me, and I certainly don't pretend to have all the answers. My goal is simply to approach these subjects as honestly and thoughtfully as I can while striving to remain compassionate, humble, charitable, and open to learning.
βοΈ Faith should never be used as a weapon.
I believe that God is love, and therefore I will always try my best to treat the people around me with love, dignity, and respect.
Faith should NEVER be used as an excuse for hatred or as an excuse to become indifferent toward the suffering of other people.
I want NOTHING to do with extremism or extremist movements or ideologies of any kind.
I don't believe genuine faith should make us crueler, more hateful, or less compassionate toward our fellow human beings.
Instead, I believe our faith should be used to uplift others.
Genuine Christian faith should lead us toward:
β€οΈ Love, Mercy ποΈ Humility π Compassion βοΈ Human dignity π Service
NOT hatred.
NOT cruelty.
NOT dehumanization.
π¬ About disagreement
This Tumblr blog is NOT a place for endless debates about theology or different Christian denominations.
People are absolutely allowed to disagree with me. I recognize that thoughtful, reasonable people can arrive at different conclusions about many political, cultural, theological, and social issues.
You're allowed to have different opinions than I do.
You're allowed to respectfully challenge my ideas.
You're allowed to see politics, religion, culture, and society differently than I do.
Healthy disagreement can be valuable. Respectful conversations are always welcome.
What is not okay is bullying, harassment, hatred, threats, dehumanizing other people, or deliberately trying to create conflict.
π§ Boundaries matter, too.
I am not afraid to use the block button when necessary.
I may block accounts that I reasonably believe are:
- Stalkers
- Internet trolls
- Engaging in bad-faith behavior
- Attempting to start unnecessary arguments
- Impersonating other people
- Sending spam or attempting to disrupt conversations
I also do NOT tolerate:
- Xenophobia
- Racism
- Sexism
- Misogyny
- Homophobia
- Transphobia
- Ableism
- Religious hatred
- Antisemitism
- Holocaust denial or other forms of historical denialism
- Harassment
- Targeted bullying
- Threats
- Doxxing
- Intimidation
- Extremism
- Political cult behavior
- Spam
- Obvious bad-faith arguments
This isn't about demanding that everyone agree with me.
It's about basic human decency.
πΈ If you're here in good faith, welcome!!!!
I'm genuinely glad you're here!!!! π
If you're not here in good faithβif your goal is harassment, trolling, intimidation, or intentionally creating conflictβthen please don't interact with this blog.
At the end of the day, I am simply trying to do my best to lead people closer to Christ, regardless of denomination, and I hope that this Tumblr blog reflects those goals.
Thanks for stopping by, and welcome to my little corner of Tumblr. π«Άπ»
βοΈ God is love.
