If FoMoCo offered Promising Earnest Young Persons $120K/year - or even a lot less than that! - to be mechanics, with the promise that you'd provide the needed training, I have very little doubt that you'd fill all your vacancies pretty much immediately.

I'm sorry that society hasn't socialized the cost of providing you with an educated specialist labor force, but, y'know, I keep hearing all these great things about the free market.

Every single time there's one of these articles about big salaries in the trades, they invariably include the phrase "up to". Welders make up to $150K, Ford will pay mechanics up to 6 figures.

That's nice; now tell me what the actual salary for the entry-level position is, how many years of training I need to get licensed and/or join the union, and whether anybody is making your quoted salaries who doesn't outright own a local firm.

Friday, August 7th: Hello, everyone. I’m Gem, a bi, mentally ill, and multiple disabled woman in desperate need of help, as I need help to pay my bills this month!!

I'm sorry that I have to e-beg again. However, as most of you know from my previous posts, I have been struggling to make ends meet while on welfare. And due to my outstanding bills and ever-increasing debt, it has been difficult for me to make ends meet. With the rising cost of living, I have been relying on my credit cards to pay bills and simply get by on a day-to-day basis.

This has placed a significant financial strain on me, and repaying them is more than I can afford. I have also been supporting my sister through her benefit sanctions, which ended earlier this month, leaving me deeply over my limit.

And after covering rent, utilities, and direct debits, I have nothing left for my credit card bill and I won't receive my welfare until the 31st. 

Again, I know this is a lot to ask, but if anyone could spare any amount to help me, even if it’s just £1/$1/€1, it would mean a lot, and sharing helps just as much.

Uhhh, I was just in the ER in the middle of the night cause the spinal cord stimulator in my back was suddenly doing some alarming things 😭😭

Bc of this, my pain is spiked the hell up today, I’ve been mostly bed-ridden since waking up 8+ hrs ago..Anyway. If anybody would like to help with pain relief (indica weedies and CBN stuff), and even the gas to get there, that would be lovely<3

I also had to call out of work today so that’s a dent out of my future paycheck 🫠😩

My gf and Lynx got me set on easy meals so I’m okay on easy foods right now!! 🥹🥹🫶🏼

Btw I’m okay just in a shit ton of pain on the entire left side of my body. CT scan bloodwork and urine samples all came back negative, thankfully. Although unfortunately it’s looking like I’ll have to go through another procedure to fix a potential broken electrode and/or anchor. 🫠😭

thank y'all for not getting mad when i go through periods of time unable to work/ make new content. my disabilities and my home environment combined have made things really difficult lately. i'll really hoping i'll have more answers from this heart monitor. i haven't been able to work a real job since 2024 because i've been unable to stand / walk / fucking move at all.

i've been technically homeless for so long now. i'm only alive now because andrea's household was able to take me in, i would have been on the streets with nothing in march. but they don't feed us anymore. so we have to figure it out.

i truly don't like begging for survival. thank you all for not hating me when i ask for help.
