A jellyfish (?)

@possibly-a-jellyfish / possibly-a-jellyfish.tumblr.com

Due to the advice of jellyfish_offical, I'm considering becoming a jellyfish

This is a theater stage for a play

no thats a boss battle

This is the Bregenzer Festspiele opera house, and it’s worth noting that this is not a one-off. Every single one of their productions looks like a boss battle and/or smash bros stage

These are all horrifying. Thanks for sharing

These are all awesome. Thanks for sharing

rule breakers

[ID: A short Deltarune comic paralelling dialogue from Ralsei and Noelle, done with soft lines and shades and cool, swirling colors. The two stand back to back, Ralsei with their head bowed in fear and hands folded behind them, and Noelle with her head bowed in anger and hands balled into fists.

Ralsei: You wanna know what happens… Noelle: Fine. You want to see what happens so bad?

Ralsei clutches their fist, which throws off sparks of flame. Noelle brings her hands to her heart, pulsing with wisps of ice.

Ralsei: If I don't follow the rules!? Noelle: Watch what happens when I cast a spell I don't know!

An inferno explodes around Ralsei, tongues of flame that dwarf them reaching back to lick at their figure.

Ralsei: /Everything/! Will fall! Apart!!

Aera Son drawing... I was trying to experiment with the shading/rendering but uh I fumbled- Σ(>Д<)

I don't really like how it turned out so here's some doodles of chibi Aera as compensation.

For some reason, I'm getting the vibe that she is the type of person who is allergic to cats but still pets them anyways...

So I follow N. D. Stevenson (comics writer and animator, most famous for Nimona and She-Ra and the Princesses of Power) and his husband Lee Ostertag (also a comics writer and animator) on Instagram. When I started following them, they were both publicly presenting as women, and then a few years ago N. D. came out as transmasc nonbinary, and then earlier this year Lee also came out as transmasc. Anyway this is all setup to say that Lee had the chance to make the funniest post of all time and he took it:

I want to throw in that part of the context behind this meme was N.D. talking about how he sometimes gets hatemail for marrying a man as a former lesbian, and how many people seem to think he divorced his wife.

I have not managed to find anyone who thinks that in the wild, but it is so damn funny.

Why do so many Japanese urban legends seem to involve a dialogue tree that you need to follow very carefully?

It's just the interactive element that seems characteristic. Like I hear a claim that, at some point, "everyone dreams of a village littered with blue corpses, and if they trip and fall then they will die in their sleep and become one of them" and ai just immediately know before I even check that, yes, this urban legend originated in Japan.

"Am I pretty?"

"I don't know, you're wearing a mask."

"How about now?"

"...I'd say you're a definite four--" (*remembers that four is bad luck in East Asia because it sounds like death*) "FIVE! I meant five! Definitely meant five!"

According to Wikipedia, that could actually work according to some versions of the legend

"You're kinda mid, tbh" or "I don't have time for questions" are both valid responses

Maybe chuck some Werther's Originals at her for safe measure
