I'd be really interested to see how you handle McGinnis if/when you get to doing a backstory for her! I find her so interesting just in how... Evil she comes across? Not in an operatic or over the top way like most fictional villains, but in an extremely real way. The banality of it all.

I'm curious to see if you lean into that or try to find more of a sympathetic ember in there!

I can't guarantee that I'll make a backstory comic for every hero, but I agree that McGinnis is a pretty interesting character. One of my favorite comments on my Calico comic was a discussion as to whether she was worse than McGinnis as indirect killers: the personal betrayal or the apathetic mass murderer.

Personally I like exploring that kind of apathy (it's why I wrote the Calico comic the way I did), so while I don't think she feels that bad for the harm her work does, I don't think she's 100% comfortable with her deal under Fairfax. Her reasons are just not attached to morality.

I usually get the ideas for my comics by finding unanswered questions in a character's lore (why is Pocket afraid of their briefcase? how did Vindicta get her powers? what's the nature of rem's connection to haze?). The question that comes to mind for me with McGinnis is where her family is in all of this. She doesn't have many connections in general, she isn't even friends with a single other hero in the game. Considering Fairfax paraded her genius around when she was still a teen, the distinct silence about even parents is a little strange.

i just found you (through your deadlock comics) and i want you to know i think your art is beautiful and your story telling is actually so fire you had me perusing the wiki to see if it was real valve lore or not,, the wraith one,, and rem omg,, like ive never even considered the lore of these lil gun guys and now i feel ive become emotionally invested so thanks for that!! thanks for your art it made me feel!!! like genuinely thank you!!!

It's going to be weird to think that the executioner is a worshipper of Yngya while also possibly being a Quincy because they're also implied to be a friend of the lamb in the trailer. So the executioner could have literally chosen the lamb to be the last lamb. Also, it isn't directly stated that the lamb needs to die, though it could be the case putting the executioner under more scrutiny and the pentagram might have been an intentional execution point to send the Lamb straight to Narinder. Though Ichigo comes in and fucks everything up like he usually does.

Not going to lie, I want to see this concept come to life. Mainly because I want to see hollow Ichigo wearing the cultist shirt. I also think that Ichigo would be able to see the chains going directly to Narinder like those wholes who are chained to people. Except it is very wrong and Ichigo can tell that it is wrong.

There are so many layers of ideas that I want to see this concept become a comic for the sheer cool factor of the story it would create.

Holds you gently in both hands

I think at this point you gotta write this down in either your blog or a fanfiction. Honestly Id read the hell out of this if it was a fanfiction

Just wanted to let you know that someone posted your art on tiktok without crediting you:

Thanks for letting me know! That Rem comic definitely broke containment, and I don't mind it getting reposted to sites I don't use like Twitter or Tiktok, but that lack of credit is unfortunate.

Ah well, it's a good reminder to put my signatures on these things.

I can't get the image out of my mind of Ichigo saving the lamb from being decapitated by the Quincy Executioner, who is a she apparently and just fighting with his bare hands. Like Ichigo even as a human was able to break a dude's face into asphalt and the asphalt broke first. Like not even Ichigo in full bring, nah, just normal Ichigo holding up the axe with his bare hands before Zangetsu takes over and turns him into a hollow. I think it would be pretty funny if Ichigo was stuck as a hollow the entire time he was in the realm of the old faith because of how much spirit energy is there and it just reactivates his powers and causes him to actively be a hollow. Just imagine the lamb being followed around by Hollow Ichigo. I'm not talking about the bankai one I'm talking about the one with the Lizard tail. Just big monster following a Lamb around.

Honestly I would also want to see the reaction of the crown to Ichigo's poeer.

Okay but also if Ichigo saves the lambs life they never have to make their deal with Narinder.

I'm imagining the god of death is just constantly pissed off because the final lamb is kept perpetually out of his reach while they survive with full monster Ichigo.

Maybe they still end up starting a cult out of the people they save while traveling, but if anything it'd probably be for the strange hollow protecting them all than Narinder who's still seething in the underworld lmao

"that one time uniquenameosaurus pretended to be sponsored by a merch site#only to immediately 180 and reveal that the sites products are of shitty quality and all their art is stolen"

PLEASE do you have the title/link of the video that this is in. i need to see this

Ask and ye shall receive!

The segment is at 4:50 if you're not interested in the larger analysis, but tbh I recommend the vid and their channel if you like media analysis.

After seeing the trailer for woolhaven, a Quincy version of the executioner would be terrifying if that's what the normal executioner is capable of. I always wondered why in game the executioner was missing. It also explains why the dude has a shrine dedicated to him in all those graves.

Yeah, I still think of a bleach cotl crossover from time to time. Ichigo having to join the cult in order to get home and slowly learning of how screwed up the world is. Meanwhile Aizen is expecting Ichigo to have gotten back to the world of the living safe and sound.

Except Ichigo is missing and Aizen didn't calculate Ichigo would go missing so his plans go sideways. Like, it's not that it goes poorly, quite the opposite, things end up going too good. To put into perspective of how much I feel like Aizen is always holding back is a few details.

Aizen at the very least has the capability to use Bankai, bear in mind this dude constantly uses Shikai and trolls people. Yet he goes out of his way to break his illusions and considering how much of a mastermind he is and overall a freak of nature, I don't think he's bluffing when it comes to him possibly having Bankai. Though I think he never used Bankai because 1, it's too powerful, and 2, it would break his illusion he has built up.

Like, him showing off Bankai would have central 46 coming for him. With his Zanpakuto being pretty middling in terms of combat prowess, yet him being a monster in manipulation and illusions.

So Aizen has a boring time, levels Karakura and dips to become the soul king. Only to find out about Yhwach and then postpone it due to Yhwach being asleep and Aizen deciding to continue prepping before the Quincy jump him from between his cheeks.

Then Ichigo finally comes back and he's so much older spiritually and comes back with the Bishops, Narinder, the gost and the Lamb before just throwing hands with Aizen who is vastly under prepared, but also able to bullshit his way into making things work.

Anyways, this is merely an idea, I'm more interested in seeing No Will finished before you even attempt to pursue Bleach COTL.

That's very funny, but also consider: Aizen tracking down where Ichigo went and then immediately getting his shit rocked by the Lamb

hey just wondering about a couple things

1) what are your opinions on one of the greatest creature in the world, moths

2) what is your opinion on Kerfur from Voices of the Void

and lastly i just want to tell you that I love your comic The Second Daughter so much more than i am able to express

that is all hope you have a great day

  1. smash
  2. pass

Thank you, I hope you have a great day too!

HOWDY. I think I’ve already contacted you before, but I honestly don’t remember.

I’d like to ask if I could make a Portuguese dub of your comic: No Will AU from Cult of the Lamb?

I had already wanted to dub it before, but I thought there wouldn’t be any continuation. I’m really happy to see that there was!

The video will be posted on YouTube, TikTok, and Instagram. So if you have any of those, please let me know so I can tag you!

If you don’t want the video to be posted on any of these platforms, just let me know.

Thank you!

I'm absolutely fine with my comics being dubbed, just be sure to credit me, and send me a link when it's completed! I'd love to see them too.

I'm wondering, Narinder doesn't seems to be much of a Fighter as a Follower in your AU. Since he seemed pretty startled when being attacked from behind. Or was he just caughed off-guard?

Avatar

Narinder has never seemed to retain any of his powers once he becomes a follower in game, save for the lack of aging, and I've chosen to reflect that.

I also think it's better thematically, since it makes Narinder's dethroning far more humiliating, and it allows the Goat to force him in this corner.

Ok.... I adore the fact that the goat is not evil or hateing the lamb. They just want to please them. Though funnily enough they have kinda already done what they needed.

Avatar

True!

The Goats feelings toward the Lamb will definitely become more complicated as they develop away from the cults influence, but that built in attachment will never truly go away.
