i really need to speak my truth rn and im probably gonna delete this as soon as someone clocks me in the comments but genuinely i cannot stand seeing people defend the male characters in this series, like it genuinely makes my blood boil to see anyone act like any of the boys in this series are oppressed by the fandom, obviously here im talking about grayson and jameson because they are the biggest perpetrators but nash kinda comes into this too if ur on that side of fandom fights but like tumblr is the only app that i feel as though people actually celebrate the female characters as much as the Hawthornes are on other apps but even then like the girls do not get half the defense the boys do and then when people started defending lyra with the same force people did grayson and jameson, in my experience i was dragged through the fucking dirt for it and made to feel like some insane bully and got so many death threats and like the whole time i was thinking you guys defend your male favs way more than this and i cant even put into words what im trying to say but im so angry because even if people dont realise they still give the boys twice as many chances like im just so fucking mad i hate all the boys in this series so much but its just like so hard being a woman and the way it transcends into fiction too it just makes me so mad l
