Got a com back. Its beautiful. I wish I could share it and be excited, but....I don't know if there's any point.

It feels like whenever I get excited about my ocs I end up being "too much". Or it just gets ignored.

It also feels silly to keep sharing things I love for it to just vanish into the void. It feels silly to be excited about my ocs alone.

I get why people stop creating. A garden won't grow without food, water and love.

I'm halfway through another fic and...I don't even know if I'll bother finishing it. What's the point? I create for me yes, but I also create to get excited with others. And that piece has been lacking in my life the last month or so.

I don't know. I suppose at least I'm getting a03 kudos.

I would say, continue to do what you love and bring you joy. There will always be times where people seem not that much interested in our work but remember it's not necesseraly about you. I feel the whole fandom is going quiet theses days. Could be the summer, could be the shitass politic climate. In the meantime, you don't only create for yourself. You refine your skills, you build an universe. New people will find you in time and be curious. That can take long but they will pop. As long you are still loving what you do, there is worth in that. You are a real artist, not a AI prompter. Your passion for creating come from your heart and soul.

We are facing a ugly time where people feel hopeless and want to gives up art, diversity and colors. Because the Empire wants us like that. Let's not give them what they want. Let's go be bold and strong like Sabine Wren or Omega. Making OCs that are ''too much'' is not wrong, it's a way to express yourself, have fun and to welcome the beautiful chaos that is in our mind. It's powerful and magic. Real life can be so boring, sad and terrifying. OCs are our vehicule to free ourselve and evolve.

Be kind to yourself, be patient. People will come back. New people will also pop.🫶
