job listings are always like do you want to Make an Impact on the World? and Transform the Lives of Others? by serving Our Ice Cream?
also this more applies to higher ed (college, uni, etc.) and ofc not universally applicable bc i don't know how higher ed works in every country, but if you're in school suffering right now, considering taking time off and everyone's telling you 'don't do that! if you do, you'll never go back!'
- completely untrue. if you're suffering and you take time (even years, like i did) off to find a way to breathe, address the things making you suffer, etc., one day when you're ready you'll go back to school and even have a chance to enjoy it. imagine!
- if taking a break from school makes you realize you never ever ever want to go back because you're that much happier out of school then that's awesome! you were right to quit lol! don't go back!!!!! you'll be fine!
is tesco feeling ok
This is like a lazily rendered level from a ps1 game.

OP: I've seen this on X and it turns out the design aesthetic of White Rabbit candy wrappers is genuinely fantastic.
Cnetizens: The older generations truly had such great design taste.
(This whole thread kicked off after international users on X marvelled at White Rabbit candy wrappers, and Chinese netizens found this and shared what art style and design aesthetics looked like back around the 1960s-1980s on xiaohongshu.)
Old designs posted by cnetizens(cr蝎虎郎子,應永會YINGSTAR,字游漫步,飞雁faye)
And old art styles during those days(cr三口草莓):
Chinese netizens also shared today’s White Rabbit candy, which features many different flavors and cross‑overs with multiple IPs(cr六角盐,骨架).
大白兔奶糖(dabaitu naitang)/White Rabbit Creamy Candy is one of China’s most iconic nostalgic milk candies. The iconic red‑blue‑white wrapper of White Rabbit Creamy Candy was finalized in 1959. Its vintage‑styled wrappers are widely admired online, and the brand now rolls out new flavors and IP collaborations. 金丝猴奶糖(jinsihou naitang)/Golden Hair Monkey Creamy Candy is another beloved classic Chinese milk candy from the 1990s. Wowo Creamy Candy also officially launched in 1991 and blew up in popularity throughout the 1990s. Together with White Rabbit and Golden Monkey, it formed the big three iconic domestic milk‑candy brands. Its signature wrapper bears a brightly colored rooster. The same brand also made Jiajia Creamy Candy, whose packaging featured a little monkey. Alongside White Rabbit, they carry warm childhood memories for generations of people in China.
That said, White Rabbit creamy candy remains a big‑seller to this day, while Golden Monkey and Wowo milk candy has faded into history. Many people find it a real shame, as its flavor was just as good as White Rabbit’s. Lots of people also recall that early‑edition White Rabbit candies were really soft. For some unknown reason, the recipe was changed later, making the candy much harder. You have to let it sit in your mouth for a while for it to soften up.
one day i will crack my back in a way that will solve all my life problems

scene where someone wakes up in a medical setting with tubes coming out of them and actually forces themself to calm down and remove them carefully but that means that the audience has to sit with them through the entire excruciating process
you get to feel the presence of the invasive bodies for every violating second they remain inside them. every pinch and sharp tug when they move too fast or in the "wrong" direction. every second of barely-restrained panic and shuddering nausea. you wanted a more realistic depiction of medical violence? here you go.
the only thing stronger than the gastric distress i get from eating cherries is my love for eating cherries

This detail isn't really noticeable unless you speak Japanese so I thought I'd talk about it.
There's a difference between Lara being a princess and being THE PRINCESS.
When we are shown Lara's past we almost always hear people say the japanese word "hime" (姫) for princess.
When she is first introduced she is "Hime"
When Laura is talking about Lara being a princess of light, she says 光ある姫 (hikari aru hime). They're all considered princesses of light.
Just to throw this in here... Lara's mother is referred to by Grace in disguise as 亡き女王陛下 (naki jouou heika) The late queen. So she really doesn't seem to be the "Princess" that she's talking about right after that. And I already mentioned last time that the word she uses for resurrect isn't right for that either.
But the really important thing is that when Grace is talking about the prophecy... she refers to Lara as THE PRINCESS with the English word プリンセス (princess). This seems to be signifying this is a special role. Different from the other princesses. It's her talking about the return of "THE PRINCESS" that is the prophecy.
Rowan says 姫君(Himegimi) here... Just to get really nitpicky, translating this as princess is fine, but in this instance it's not literally princess... it's more stating that she's reached the age of maturity where she's allowed to go out on her own. They used to use this title for the daughters of any high ranking person. Anyway... not that important lol
Back on track! Even though Rowan forbid prophecies....
when he is going to sleep, he gives her his light and calls her "the princess" プリンセス (princess) in English. I think this is signifying that he's accepting that the prophecy was true, and that she really is the princess from the prophecy.
And it's important to note that while Grace referred to Lara's mother as late (deceased) earlier, she makes sure to say that her other family members not dead. They can still be saved.
From here on Grace pretty much always calls her "Princess" (プリンセス) in English, to signify her position as the princess of light from the prophecy, not just A princess.
