my pretty obvious theory is that the reason why the animatronics are so messed up as seen in the relocation project is Felix. one of the technicians staying over at the storage facility in that video makes a comment about how it looks like someone tried to get inside to the exoskeletons. the bodies were in the exoskeletons.

we know Felix knew about the deaths and what was happening at least by rosemary's killing, he was in the building doing nothing! it would completely be in character for him to break into the suits to take the bodies out to protect himself from prosecution after the store closed and they were moved to the k-9 facility.
