Good morning loverlees and lers
Its time for a Beau Talk quickie!
Using your mental health as an excuse to manipulate, pressure, or blur consent within the tickling community doesnβt make you misunderstood, it makes you responsible for harm.
Struggling with mental health is real. Triggers are real. Trauma responses are real. But none of those realities give someone the right to override another personβs boundaries, coerce participation, guilt someone into play, or ignore consent agreements. When you knowingly use your anxiety, depression, attachment issues, or past trauma as leverage ... βIβll spiral if you donβt,β βYouβre abandoning me,β βThis is the only way I copeβ.... you shift from being someone in distress to someone causing harm.
Consent must be freely given, enthusiastic, and reversible. The moment someone feels obligated, emotionally cornered, or responsible for your stability, the dynamic stops being consensual. In kink and tickling spaces especially, where vulnerability and trust are foundational, exploiting that trust under the shield of mental health is a breach of community ethics.
Mental health explains behavior. It does not excuse it.
If someoneβs struggles are impacting how they treat others, the solution is support, therapy, boundaries, and accountability, not using another personβs body or participation as a coping mechanism. When harm is done and the response is deflection instead of responsibility, thatβs perpetration.
