GIVEN OR TAKEN [1/2]

SUMMARY: It's time for Yang & Co.'s CEO to retire, and Jungwon, his son, thinks he has the successor role in the bag. Unfortunately for him, he'll only be able to take over if he not only secures the company's biggest deal to date, but also proves himself a better choice than you, the one other person his father considers fit for the coveted title, and, to his dismay, his partner on the case.
WARNINGS: enemies to lovers, f!reader, jungwon is reader's biggest hater, LOTS of arguing esp at the beginning, dramatic irony, slowburn, Jake catches some strays, revelations (more than one), dual POV, it’s Mr Yang’s world we’re just living in it WC: 14.7k - MASTERLIST

a/n: didn't want to split this into two parts but if i don't post at least some of it now, then it'd never get finished. apologies for any inaccuracies regarding business/legal jargon & happy reading!!

Anyone who has ever worked alongside Jungwon would say he is one of the best, if not the best, out there. And why wouldn’t he be? His father, the CEO and founder of Yang & Co., has instilled in him the values and expectations of a successful businessman since day one.

He was taught everything he’d need to know, all in the hopes of being named the company's successor when the time came. Or at least, that’s what Jungwon had assumed his whole life.

Perhaps he should have also taken to heart another message his dad had taught him: never assume things, because it puts the ass in you and me.

“Let me get this straight. You are not going to appoint me as the CEO once you retire.”

THE KISSING BOOTH | Y.JW

Jay firmly believes that the people you choose to surround yourself with say everything about who you really are— it’s a conviction that sticks with him every time he meets someone new.

He’s spent his entire life crafting the perfect friend group, making sure each person in it was someone he could trust, that they wouldn’t be the type to do stupid things. But right now, smack dab in the middle of campus, he’s starting to think that he might have made a grave mistake, because what the hell else would explain him standing here, watching his best friend Yang Jungwon set up a kissing booth?

“You can’t be fucking serious.”

LOST ON YOU (2/2)

SUMMARY: Most people would probably say that the friendzone is the worst place to be, but you'd beg to differ. This time, you're determined to keep things between you and Jungwon strictly platonic, because the alternative is just setting yourself up to fail. Again.
WARNINGS: f!reader, timeskip from pt1, much more fluff than angst, cuteness, reader be lowkey traumatized tho and in some crazy denial, feelings are super confusing!!!! WC: 9.8k - MASTERLIST

A/N: posting bc if i proofread one more time i might acc die. that being said, if you see any little changes within the next few days.... 🤫 happy reading!!

Getting your heart broken by Jungwon via Jake had to have been one of the top ten most traumatic experiences of your life.

Like, genuinely.

LOST ON YOU (1/2)

SUMMARY: Call it delusion, but you have always believed that there was something between you and Jungwon. Or, you mistake friendliness for feelings and spend your last semester of university learning the difference.
WARNINGS: f!reader, unrequited feelings, one-sided pining, fluff, angst, heartbreak, eventual happy ending WC: 6.7k - MASTERLIST

A/N: enjoy reading! i rly tried my best to convey the feelings accurately bc we've all been there amirite (⓿_⓿)

The lecture hall is stuffy.

Winter has finally given up its hold, the last patches of snow melting into the grass outside as spring slowly settles over campus and temperatures climb well above freezing. You adjust the sleeves of your shirt, already too warm, scanning the rows of seats and sighing.

Clearly you are the only person who has caught on to the fact that big, puffy jackets are no longer necessary. Everyone else seems intent on carrying winter with them a little longer.
