Beyond The Light | New Indie Animated Series

I'll be working alongside my friend River or his social name, Rivonot, as well as many others, in making an indie animated series called Beyond The Light! Our pilot just dropped today (I helped make this too :D), and if you're interested in watching, go ahead! ^^

This is actually such a crucial part of healing from neglect and abuse and I have to add to this.

Because indeed, people who like you will not roll their eyes and sigh at the idea of accommodating your needs, they will value your voice and be upset with you about injustice done to you, not at you for "being difficult". They will be happy when you find a way to live a better life, and help you to get there. If you are struggling, someone who loves you wants to see you smile, not tell you to smile because "you have it so good".

Half joking cus i genuinely wonder if i should write him as one. To me, he gives a toxic masculinity vibe. Seeing as he's presented as a straight cis blonde white man. I think he'd be fed ideas about how to be a "normal" man by human norms and standards. Hence also why every single doll in perfection falls into the male and female binary, unlike the uglies.

This also means that Lou would be homophobic as well. I'd love to explore his internalized homophobia cus i think that'd be interesting 🤔

Yk it's funny because like it's not too far off to think that Lou might be homophobic and misogynistic cus he well- he tried to kill every uglies. That dude is not exactly a good person

Dude i feel like such a chud man. Like i just spent the whole day daydreaming about a fictional character instead of doing anything. Like i literally didnt even do something fun i literally just stayed on my bed

It's 6 a.m., and i haven't slept, but I've seen people mention how the portal being kept open so any doll can come and go ruins Lou's tragedy and years of suffering, but to be honest, i think it makes it worse. It became a mockery to him. He'd spend everyday hearing about all the loving stories the dolls have with their child. It's better when the dolls couldn't come back because he wouldn't really know how good it truly is out there, but now that he's heard countless of stories about it, I'm sure his anger and resentment is getting bigger and bigger.

It's like how on valentine's day, those who are single prefer not to go outside so they don't see couples being lovey dovey, it's sort of like that

I headcanon/theorize that Lou's envy worsened when Ox came to his life. He felt love for the first time in his life as a prototype who could not go to the Big World. But Ox loved the idea of going to the Big World more than he loved Lou. Which caused a conflict between them. Lou, who finally gets to feel and understand love for the first time, only for it to not be reciprocated by Ox

And I'm not blaming Ox for this either. Of course, every doll wants and needs to go find their own kid in the Big World. That's why their relationship is such a tragedy, and why I'm so obsessed with them

I wonder if Lou's ever said I love you to Ox 🤔 that'd break my little heart

Hello! Update on art stuff

Trans marty art is still coming it will be finished at the end of June (hopefully 😭)
