It had been years since Dunya had set foot on Pandaria.
She had not realized, until the first green slopes unfolded beneath the wings of the kite that carried her over the Jade Forest, how deeply she had missed it.
Pandaria did not welcome a person the way other lands did. It did not rise up with trumpets and banners. It did not declare itself conquered, wounded, restored, or glorious. It simply breathed. The mountains breathed in mist. The forests breathed in rain and sunlight. The rivers threaded through stone and root with the quiet patience of things that had never once needed permission to endure.
Dunya had forgotten that.
