Graces of the Heirs of Grace

Titus 3:1-8 (NKJV)

3 Remind them to be subject to rulers and authorities, to obey, to be ready for every good work, 2 to speak evil of no one, to be peaceable, gentle, showing all humility to all men. 3 For we ourselves were also once foolish, disobedient, deceived, serving various lusts and pleasures, living in malice and envy, hateful and hating one another. 4 But when the kindness and the love of God our Savior toward man appeared, 5 not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to His mercy He saved us, through the washing of regeneration and renewing of the Holy Spirit, 6 whom He poured out on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Savior, 7 that having been justified by His grace we should become heirs according to the hope of eternal life.

8 This is a faithful saying, and these things I want you to affirm constantly, that those who have believed in God should be careful to maintain good works. These things are good and profitable to men.

Trained by Saving Grace

Titus 2:11-14 (NKJV)

11 For the grace of God that brings salvation has appeared to all men, 12 teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly in the present age, 13 looking for the blessed hope and glorious appearing of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ, 14 who gave Himself for us, that He might redeem us from every lawless deed and purify for Himself His own special people, zealous for good works.

Good Friday

Luke 23 (NKJV)

23 Then the whole multitude of them arose and led Him to Pilate.2 And they began to accuse Him, saying, “We found this fellow perverting [a]the nation, and forbidding to pay taxes to Caesar, saying that He Himself is Christ, a King.”

3 Then Pilate asked Him, saying, “Are You the King of the Jews?”

He answered him and said, “It is as you say.”

4 So Pilate said to the chief priests and the crowd, “I find no fault in this Man.”

5 But they were the more fierce, saying, “He stirs up the people, teaching throughout all Judea, beginning from Galilee to this place.”

6 When Pilate heard [b]of Galilee, he asked if the Man were a Galilean. 7 And as soon as he knew that He belonged to Herod’s jurisdiction, he sent Him to Herod, who was also in Jerusalem at that time. 8 Now when Herod saw Jesus, he was exceedingly glad; for he had desired for a long time to see Him, because he had heard many things about Him, and he hoped to see some miracle done by Him. 9 Then he questioned Him with many words, but He answered him nothing. 10 And the chief priests and scribes stood and vehemently accused Him. 11 Then Herod, with his [c]men of war, treated Him with contempt and mocked Him, arrayed Him in a gorgeous robe, and sent Him back to Pilate. 12 That very day Pilate and Herod became friends with each other, for previously they had been at enmity with each other.

13 Then Pilate, when he had called together the chief priests, the rulers, and the people, 14 said to them, “You have brought this Man to me, as one who misleads the people. And indeed, having examined Him in your presence, I have found no fault in this Man concerning those things of which you accuse Him; 15 no, neither did Herod, for [d]I sent you back to him; and indeed nothing deserving of death has been done by Him. 16 I will therefore chastise Him and release Him” 17 (for[e] it was necessary for him to release one to them at the feast).

18 And they all cried out at once, saying, “Away with this Man, and release to us Barabbas”— 19 who had been thrown into prison for a certain rebellion made in the city, and for murder.

20 Pilate, therefore, wishing to release Jesus, again called out to them. 21 But they shouted, saying, “Crucify Him, crucify Him!”

22 Then he said to them the third time, “Why, what evil has He done? I have found no reason for death in Him. I will therefore chastise Him and let Him go.”

23 But they were insistent, demanding with loud voices that He be crucified. And the voices of these men [f]and of the chief priests prevailed. 24 So Pilate gave sentence that it should be as they requested. 25 And he released [g]to them the one they requested, who for rebellion and murder had been thrown into prison; but he delivered Jesus to their will.

26 Now as they led Him away, they laid hold of a certain man, Simon a Cyrenian, who was coming from the country, and on him they laid the cross that he might bear it after Jesus.

27 And a great multitude of the people followed Him, and women who also mourned and lamented Him. 28 But Jesus, turning to them, said, “Daughters of Jerusalem, do not weep for Me, but weep for yourselves and for your children. 29 For indeed the days are coming in which they will say, ‘Blessed are the barren, wombs that never bore, and breasts which never nursed!’ 30 Then they will begin ‘to say to the mountains, “Fall on us!” and to the hills, “Cover us!” ’ 31 For if they do these things in the green wood, what will be done in the dry?”

32 There were also two others, criminals, led with Him to be put to death. 33 And when they had come to the place called Calvary, there they crucified Him, and the criminals, one on the right hand and the other on the left. 34 [h]Then Jesus said, “Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they do.”

And they divided His garments and cast lots. 35 And the people stood looking on. But even the rulers with them sneered, saying, “He saved others; let Him save Himself if He is the Christ, the chosen of God.”

36 The soldiers also mocked Him, coming and offering Him sour wine, 37 and saying, “If You are the King of the Jews, save Yourself.”

38 And an inscription also was [i]written over Him in letters of Greek, Latin, and Hebrew:

THIS IS THE KING OF THE JEWS.

39 Then one of the criminals who were hanged blasphemed Him, saying, [j]“If You are the Christ, save Yourself and us.”

40 But the other, answering, rebuked him, saying, “Do you not even fear God, seeing you are under the same condemnation? 41 And we indeed justly, for we receive the due reward of our deeds; but this Man has done nothing wrong.” 42 Then he said [k]to Jesus, “Lord, remember me when You come into Your kingdom.”

43 And Jesus said to him, “Assuredly, I say to you, today you will be with Me in Paradise.”

44 Now it [l]was about the sixth hour, and there was darkness over all the earth until the ninth hour. 45 Then the sun was [m]darkened, and the veil of the temple was torn in [n]two. 46 And when Jesus had cried out with a loud voice, He said, “Father, ‘into Your hands I commit My spirit.’ ” Having said this, He breathed His last.

47 So when the centurion saw what had happened, he glorified God, saying, “Certainly this was a righteous Man!”

48 And the whole crowd who came together to that sight, seeing what had been done, beat their breasts and returned. 49 But all His acquaintances, and the women who followed Him from Galilee, stood at a distance, watching these things.

Today is a solemn day. Christ has carried His Cross, taken the insults, suffered tremendous pain, and has died. Seemingly all hope is lost. The Man who claimed such riches defeated by wood, nails, and hatred. It is a day to reflect on the cost paid by Christ who laid down His life for us. What a blessing, such grace, from a terrible event. Let us share in the grief of His mother who saw her Son take from her, let us too endure the loss of friendship that Mary felt, let us experience the devastation that disciples did. But we know not to lose to hope, we know what is coming. So in amongst the grief and reflections on the cost of sin, let us stay at the foot of the cross and worship and give praise. Let us stay true to Our Lord on this Good Friday.

Holy Monday: The Fig Tree

Mark 11:14: Then he said to the tree, “May no one ever eat fruit from you again.” And his disciples heard him say it.

On Holy Monday we remember Christ approaching the fig tree full of leaves, yet without fruit. We must cast our minds back to the very beginning, when after the fall, Adam and Eve covered themselves with fig leaves: an outward attempt to hide an inward brokenness. We can apply this to ourselves now, since it seems like humans have mastered the art of appealing whole while being spiritually barren.

The fig tree is like a mirror to us: full of leaves, yet lacking fruit. This happens when we are outwardly alive, yet inwardly empty (walking in the flesh, rather than spirit). Christ gives us this story as a message, that God does not seek appearances, but spiritual fruit; not external religion, but a transformed heart.

Holy Monday calls us to examine ourselves and look at our own spiritual condition. Are we only leaves or are we bearing fruit?

Let us stop hiding behind fig leaves and putting on a façade. Come to Christ as you are and be completely upfront. Let us ask Christ to make us fruitful.

John 15:2: Every branch in me that beareth not fruit he taketh away: and every branch that beareth fruit, he purgeth it, that it may bring forth more fruit.

I pray that you feel God's presence in your life and that you follow His will for you!

God-Bless.

And from the quiet in the tomb, did He conquer Hades and Death, and set before us the only path to the Father. Only through Him are we kept, are we held, are we healed by His stripes, are we redeemed transgessors, are we forgiven, are we known, are we living stones that only make way for the Resurrected Son, as the stone of the tomb had.

Moved and set Only by the Lord Jesus Christ, who we believe and know in our hearts He has Resurrected, He sits at the Right Hand of God, He the Word that be Fulfilled and shall never fade away!

Be it in your quiet place, in your congregation, in your brother's house, in your workplace, in the gym, in the bed of the hospice, or the company of your unbelieving family, take in the Glory of the Resurrection which covers all creation in a Great and Holy Light.

How heavy and graciously broken or warm and humble our hearts may be, let it be a place of joy and exhuberance for the love given to us, the only Love necessary for the world to be saved, to never perish, to never again be cast into darkness, because it is He who had conquered the enslaving days of death, for the giving eternity of life!

The Way, The Truth, and The Life has been laid down and risen! How freely can we receive it anymore?! Only in praise, only in humility, only in repentance, only in everything for Him! For He has given everything He is for us!

Thank you Jesus!

We are saved by grace not by works.

Paul in Galatians notes that justification by works (“the law”) is opposite to justification by grace through faith. He also noted that faith plus works is ultimately works (Gal. 4:19-31). If salvation can be earned, then God is merely giving what is earned or deserved, which declares grace null and void and in which case, Christ would have died in vain. While godly living is still essential to the spread of the gospel, obedience to the Law is the fruit of salvation and not a prerequisite for salvation. No one was ever saved by keeping the Law. We do good works not in order to be saved but because we have been saved. Paul, like all believers, had to die to self (Rom. 7:6).

God’s law was never meant to justify sinners but was given as a standard to reveal human sinfulness and inadequacy (Galatians 3:24). Those who believe in Christ Jesus are no longer considered guilty but counted as righteous or justified before God (Rom. 10:4)

“I’m bored” Go spend time with God.

“I’m so anxious” Spend time with God.

“I don’t know what to do” Time with God.

“I feel so lost” With God.

“What if things get worse” God.

When you are lost, God will guide you, whether it be right now, or later.

Lust

1 Corinthians 6:18: ‘Flee sexual immorality. Every sin that a man does is outside the body, but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body.’
Matthew 5:27-28: ‘You have heard that it was said to those of old, ‘You shall not commit adultery.’ But I say to you that whoever looks at a woman to lust for her has already committed adultery with her in his heart.’’

I could write a billion posts on lust and will start to confront this topic more on here but I wanted to share a tip to combat lusting after others when single. If you find yourself having crush after crush and imagining life with different people each night go fall asleep (i’ve been there - it’s more common than you might realise) the Lord showed me something. Well firstly that this was committing adultery as according to Matthew 5:27-28, but also how to flee from it. Start praying for the people you find yourself lusting over, whether celebrities or people close to you (or even fictional characters) bring it to God. The worst thing to do is hide and sit in shame and guilt since that is where the enemy wants you to be in order to spiral. To break this spiral just talk to God and be open. He knows and sees everything already anyways so just repent and bring it to Him. As well as praying for these people also ask God that you see them as siblings in Christ and/or see them as He does, see the love he has for them - the pure love not tainted by lust.

Lust is something so many Christians struggle with and it’s an ongoing battle for us all. But Christ broke all chains to sin the moment he died on the cross and rose again after three days - defeating death and sin. Flee from lust. As much as you can avoid shows or music or any media that can tempt you, no matter how ‘innocent’ it can be societally, make sure to discern what is good or not good for you personally.

If anyone has any questions please feel free to ask me. I am not perfect at all and still sin and get tempted and fall. But what matters is we pick ourselves up after every time and run away from sin and run towards God. He is waiting for you with open arms. Do not deny yourself His peace.

I just saw ai "art" of St. Francis of Assisi. The literal patron saint of the ENVIRONMENT.

Ai is ruining the beauty and sacredness of religion. It's disrespecting God, the saints, the church, all of it. This world is genuinely losing its mind.

Delayed obedience is disobedience

1 Corinthians 6:13: ‘All things are lawful for me, but all things are not helpful. All things are lawful for me, but I will not be brought under the power of any.’

Do not make excuses for sin. Please do not let fear keep you back from following what God is calling you to do. Trust in God. Do not make excuses such as “God knows my heart”. Do not listen to these lies from the enemy. Follow the word of God, not of the world. Spend time with God and in His word so that you can discern for yourself.

Let us walk in faith, not by sight; walk by the spirit and not the flesh; and die to our flesh.

FAITH + TRUST in Christ Jesus

Psalms 20:7 ‘Some trust in chariots and some in horses, but we trust in the name of the Lord our God.’

John 20:29: ‘Jesus said to him, “Thomas, because you have seen Me, you have believed. Blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed.”’

While reflecting on the fact of the important of faith the Holy Spirit showed me something important. When I hold a pen in my hand and I let it go, I know it will fall. I have faith and I trust it will fall. I do not need to see it fall to know it will fall this time. Similarly when I sit in my rooms I trust that the roof will hold up. I know that it will since it has been constructed as such. I have faith and trust in this.

This concept can be applied to everything in our life. We trust in these things and we don’t even think about the fact we trust them, rather it is just something natural from us.

The Holy Spirit then pushed me to ask: why am I not this way with God? That made me stop and write this down so I could share this with you all. It’s got me thinking.

Why do we get so anxious and stressed when we know God has never failed us up to now? God has done so much; so much that we haven’t even see it all or understood it all. He has provided everything in our lives from the roof over our heads, our intellect, bodies, talents, food, warmth, love, joy, salvation, yes also pens… and so much more. If God had given this all to us freely and bountifully, why don’t we have blind childlike faith? Why do we feel the need to know and understand everything and micro manage it? Let it go. God knows everything, sees everything, understands everything, and we can never know, see or understand absolutely everything. That is the way it should be. Thank you God for protecting us from things we don’t even know we need to be protected from.

This is your reminder to have faith in God. It’s the key to our life walking the narrow path with God. Let us all walk in the spirit and die to our flesh.

God steers but you must row!!

Romans 8:11 (NKJV): “But if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, He who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through His spirit who dwells in you”

Keep going. God promises to work for us at all times no matter what happens. We must remember, if the spirit who raised Jesus from the dead is in us… why do we worry? why do we stall? why do we fear? Let go of these and keep going. Even if you don’t have a long term plan for career or relationships or whatever it may be in your life, just keep going, take every day one by one and keep pushing. God will open doors for you, but you must be willing to walk through that door. So get back up keep going and remember God loves you.
