jack / 23 i'm never going to die

thinks pensively again about my idea before season 1 aired and we had no clue about what the louis and lestat relationship timeline was except it started in the 1910s and i was like doing the math on their 65 years together or whatever and was like wow are they gonna make the theatre de vampires a commentary on the broader 70s vampire craze and i was imagining armand as an exploitation film director and the coven filming their real kills for distribution and this would be somehow deeply engaged with both the medium of film and the vampire as a pop culture figure and also armand as the checked out hates his job exploitation filmmaker just ruled to me conceptually and anyways i still think this would have been fun as hell

is big boss a reference to the indian version of big brother being called bigg boss

in the grand scheme this is tiny but it annoyed me they made ‘lestat as a little kid learned about witch burning on a school trip and had a complete meltdown in front of everyone and had to be taken home’ into ‘lestat as a little kid saw an actual witch burning (in 1790s france)’. like if you thought his reaction in the book was disproportionate and unusual perhaps you could dig into that as relates to little kid lestats shelteredness or empathy. in some sort of television episode
