"Oh yeah and then I have my new exhibition coming up later today, you're still gonna come for that right?" you pipe up excitedly over the phone making your way towards the art gallery.
This was the biggest step towards your career that you had been tirelessly working towards curating in school with the help of your mentor and professors, and Jake had been there supporting you throughout the entire process.
You hear slight shuffling and whispers on the other end of the phone before your boyfriend speaks up to respond.
"Ofcourse I'll be there, love. You know I always wanna be there for you." Jake responds, to which your smile grows feeling overjoyed at the thought of finally reuniting with your boyfriend after months of not seeing him due to his tour and overlapping schedules to yours.
Saying your last goodbyes and 'i love you's to one another, you began setting up your art to display around the art gallery and finishing off the last of the decor before the unveiling event that would be happening later that night.
Looking down at your watch, you grab your bag and phone making your way out.
"Four more hours before the event starts, I should leave to go get ready." you say to yourself as the simmering excitement and anxiety bubbled within.
